What the Muslim terrorists view of children really isFrom Rabbi Lazer Brody’s Lazer Beams website:Israel and Ishmael, Order and Disorder23July2014 http://lazerbrody.typepad.com/lazer_beams/2014/07/israel-and-ishmael-order-and-disorder.html Hashem in His loving grace and amazing compassion has enabled me to understand the current conflict between Israel and Hamastan-Gaza by way of physics, and particularly thermodynamics. We know that the physical manifestations of creation reflect the underlying spiritual laws that the Creator in His omniscience instilled in creation. Whereas science concerns itself with the mechanics of events within nature, emuna concerns itself with the mechanics of events above nature.Without confusing you with the laws of energy and thermodynamics, let’s simplify: there are two opposing powers in molecular theory – the power that seeks order and the power that seeks disorder. These two powers always fight each other. The more that the power of order prevails, the more the world obtains “Gibbs Free Energy”, which is more commonly known as “free enthalpy”, or useful energy. The more that the power of disorder prevails, the greater the “entropy” or chaotic, unproductive energy in the world. We can now understand how the same nuclear energy can illuminate the world when its in the responsible hands of a nuclear power plant, or destroy the world when it becomes the entropic energy of a nuclear bomb detonation. The Torah juxtaposes Israel and Ishmael. Without bogging us down with dozens of quotes, Israel is the world’s “free enthalpy”, or useful energy. Israel has given society everything from morals to medicine, from agriculture to zero illiteracy. Israel has sponsored and spearheaded agricultural, construction, educational and medical projects around the world. Here at home, we’ve made the desert bloom. Our children learn to read at age three. We are a nation that exports compassion, for caring about others is a trait that Jews have an endless reservoir of. Our Torah is a “tree of life” whose ways are all peaceful and pleasant. Israel uses its resources to educate and heal people; our concrete and metal go to building schools, hospitals and factories. Our faith is emuna, spreading the light of Hashem’s love for every human. On the other hand, Ishmael is the power of disorder and chaos, destructive energy. As the Torah says, his hands are on everybody – he can’t live without a fight. His contribution to society is negative, for he destroys rather than builds. Other than jihad, his constant holy wars, he has no claim to fame. His money results from his natural resources – oil – which Hashem gave him as a reward for being circumcised. He has no technology or knowledge base of his own. His children learn cruelty from a young age, growing up with the burning desire to kill his rival, Israel; so much so, that he’ll sacrifice his own family without blinking an eyelash to spill the blood of Israel, Heaven forbid. Ishmael uses its resources to kill his rivals; not only Jews, but his own people as he does in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Gaza and everywhere else he lives. His concrete and metal resources go to building terrorist tunnels; his kids don’t need to read and write as long as they can wield a knife and operate an AK-47. His faith is Jihad, holy war, killing anyone who doesn’t agree with his darkside murderous treachery that he calls a religion. The above explains the war in Gaza. No, it’s not Israel’s war with the Gazans. This is a struggle between the useful energy of the world and the destructive energy of the world. Israel must overcome in order for this planet to be a decent place to dwell in. The French, Germans, British and Belgians can now understand why their homelands are becoming less and less tolerable as they are being taken over by the Ishmaelites. For the ultimate good of mankind and this planet, may Hashem help us prevail, amen. |

Brain Study Sheds Light On Impulsive ViolenceDate:

The human brain is wired with natural checks and balances that control negative emotions, but breakdowns in this regulatory system appear to heighten risk of violent behavior, according to findings of a study by UW-Madison psychologist Richard Davidson. As part of a special report on violence in the July 28 issue of the journal Science, Davidson and colleagues analyzed brain imaging data from a large, diverse group of studies on violent subjects and those predisposed to violence. The studies focused on people diagnosed with aggressive personality disorder, those with childhood brain injuries and convicted murderers. Researchers found common neurological threads among these more than 500 subjects in the brain’s inability to properly regulate emotion. The study focused on several interconnected regions in the prefrontal cortex of the brain, areas defined in Davidson’s previous work as an essential control mechanism for negative emotions. A similar brain process has been implicated in a number of mental health problems, including depression and anxiety disorders. Davidson says this newfound connection between violence and brain dysfunction opens a new avenue for studying and possibly treating violence and aggression. “We are placing the question of violence right in the middle of our basic research on the neurobiology of emotion, because our previous insights in this area give us tremendous leverage to understand the root causes of violence,” Davidson says. “There never has been a theoretical framework to make sense of this before.” One of the core findings, Davidson says, deals with the interplay between several distinct brain regions, namely the orbital frontal cortex, the anterior cingulate cortex and the amygdala. The orbital frontal cortex plays a crucial role in constraining impulsive outbursts, while the anterior cingulate cortex recruits other brain regions in the response to conflict. The amygdala, a tiny but highly influential portion of the brain, is involved in the production of a fear response and other negative emotions. Davidson and colleagues Katherine Putnam and Christine Larson found that normal brain activity in the orbital and anterior regions were blunted or entirely absent in many of the study groups, while the amygdala showed normal or heightened activity. The inability of the two brain regions to effectively counteract the response of the amygdala may help explain how threatening situations can become explosive in some people. A major strength of the research is in the range of people studied and the consistency of the results, Davidson says. The researchers found dysfunction in common brain regions in reviews of brain imaging data from 41 murderers, from a study group suffering from aggressive impulsive personality disorder, and from a group diagnosed with antisocial personality disorder. They also reviewed data from two individuals who suffered early damage to the two regions of the brain in question. Those individuals, injured early in life, both showed histories of verbal and physical abusiveness and intermittent, explosive bursts of anger. The research paper also described a large group of subjects who have a genetic deficit that causes a disruption in the brain’s serotonin levels. The serotonin system employs many of the brain regions described earlier and a disruption of the system has been linked to increased aggression. Davidson’s analysis showed that these emotion-controlling brain regions showed less activity in the individuals who carried this genetic abnormality. Davidson stresses that the research points to both genetics and poor environmental history as potential contributors to impulsive violence, and together they present a “double whammy” that put people at much greater risk. “These parts of the brain are particularly responsive to experiential shaping,” Davidson says. The study may recast the way society looks at impulsive violence, by defining it as a mental health issue. “Emotion regulation is extremely significant for a whole constellation of problems people encounter,” he says. The long-term implications of the study will be in the realm of new treatments, Davidson predicts, that will combine targeted behavioral interventions with drug therapies, in much the same way depression and anxiety disorders are treated. “Given what we know about brain plasticity and the fact that the brain really can change in response to experience, we have good reason to expect that these treatments may, in fact, have beneficial consequences,” Davidson says. While the research points to emotion regulation deficits as a “smoking gun” in impulsive violence, Davidson cautions that science is a long way from developing any preventive strategy for at-risk populations. Davidson’s future studies will explore this complex brain process in much greater detail, through the use of imaging technologies such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and positron emission topography (PET) used in tandem for high-resolution, real time images of brain function. Davidson is director of the Wisconsin Center for Affective Science and directs the W.M. Keck Center for Functional Brian Imaging. His research is supported by the National Institute of Mental Health. As well as the four bombers, 52 civilians were killed and over 700 more were injured in the attacks, the United Kingdom’s worst terrorist incident since the 1988 Lockerbie bombing as well as the country’s first ever suicide attack. |

![]() Regular readers of the New York Times may recall that its editors provided an unsurpassed platform, and sickening prominence, to our daughter’s murderer six years ago when she was still a prisoner serving multiple life terms (these days, she is out, free as a bird and newly married). We wrote about it here: “28-Jun-07: About sweet-faced young women”, “5-Jul-07: A Balance of Views?” and “7-Jul-07: A Palestinian Terrorist”. We were as outraged then as today by the ease with which they slid past the grotesque acts for which this woman and her fellow child-killers were responsible, and in which the citizens of bucolic Nabi Saleh take such unconcealed pride. |

Incitement to Genocide: How NY Times’ Coverage and UN Complicity Breed Anti-Semitismby Dr. Phyllis Chesler 29July2014 http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Peace/2014/07/29/Incitement-to-Genocide-How-NY-Times-Coverage-and-UN-Complicity-Breed-Anti-Semitism Are The United Nations and the NY Times Guilty of Incitement to Genocide? Should they be held in any way accountable for the incitement against Jews and Israel that is erupting globally?
I am asking this question seriously. Yes, I know, the media has a First Amendment right in our country, but at what point must exercising that right be weighed against the harm it is causing to a long-maligned and vulnerable population? Surely, it is time to ask this question.
Thanks to Professor Laurel Leff, the author of Buried By The Times, we now know that the New York Times most shamefully minimized, dismissed, and simply failed to cover the ongoing European Holocaust in the 1930’s and 1940’s. And no, their owners and major journalists neither acknowledged this nor apologized for it. In fact, they reviewed Leff’s book in their pages and while granting her some points, accused her of missing “context.”
The twenty-first century coverage of Israel and Zionism in the paper of record far exceeds its twentieth century pattern of mere dismissal. In the last fourteen years–in the last year– in article after article, photograph after photograph, and especially when Israel has been under attack, this paper has systematically put forth an Islamist and pro-Hamas agenda with malice aforethought. If not “malice,” then the level of willful journalistic ignorance and blindness is hard to believe. The Public Editor has been forced to respond to a “deluge” of letters pointing this out. The Times does not usually publish all these letters.
This steady diet of Pravda-like propaganda, may, in part, account for the ever-wilder pogroms against Jews in Europe and the pogrom-like demonstrations in North America–street and campus demonstrations which I long ago dubbed “Gaza on the Hudson” or “Gaza on the Pacific.” “Death to the Jews” is once again resounding in the streets of Paris, just as it did when Dreyfus was falsely accused of treason. The assimilated Viennese journalist, Theodore Herzl, was so shaken by this visceral hatred that it led to his vision and activism on behalf of a Jewish State.
The existence of that very state is now the reason given for the vilification of and the most menacing mob-surges against Jews who are being individually blamed for the false allegations against Israel. What my colleagues Richard Landes and Nidra Poller have described as the “lethal narrative” or the Blood Libels against the Jewish state have finally borne their poisoned fruit. I wrote about this in my 2003 book The New Anti-Semitism.
All across Europe, Muslim/leftist mobs are calling for Jewish blood, screaming that Jews should go back to the gas chambers. The educated classes are more “genteel.” They call for “proportionality,” by which they must mean that more Jews have to die before they will exercise the slightest compassion, if even then.
Large numbers of people actually believe that Israelis are a Nazi, apartheid, colonialist, racist Monster regime– when, heartbreakingly, quite the opposite is true. Even as Hamas rockets are falling on them, Israeli doctors are operating on wounded and innocent Palestinian civilians–who have often been wounded by Hamas rockets or by Hamas’s decision to use their own people as human shields.
But those who read the New York Times as if it is their Bible and those who drink at similarly poisoned media wells, have been fatally indoctrinated and will not listen to facts, and spurn reason, context, and the truth.
The New York Times and all media that have been slanting the truth against Israel stand accused. I believe that their legal exercising of their First Amendment rights nevertheless has been inciting the masses to a slow motion Second Holocaust, a new genocide.
Individual university professors who knowingly teach hate, falsehood, Blood Libels, have also played a role. But their work has been made immeasurably easier by the mainstream media–and by the authority granted to one particular international body.
As to the United Nations: Their main and perhaps sole accomplishment has, in my view, been the legalization of Jew hatred and the isolation of the Jewish state. Their endless resolutions condemning Israel might indeed empower mobs to attack individual Jews all across Europe with impunity and might embolden Israel’s terrorist enemies to pursue their target relentlessly.
In the past, I and others have argued for the United States to withhold funds from the UN, to leave it entirely, or to form a new global entity consisting only of Western-style democracies. Of course, both India and Israel would qualify as would Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Europe, and a number of other countries.
I have written about this many times before. This time, I will refer to Anne Bayefsky’s most excellent coverage of the outrages, hot hatred, hypocrisy, perhaps madness, that dominates how the United Nations handles Israel even as it fails to deal with serious atrocities elsewhere, everywhere. Eleanor Roosevelt must be turning in her grave given the rather high hopes she had for her vision of Nations United.
Ambassador John Bolton has critiqued and condemned the United Nations for a long time. He was refreshingly cogent on the issue. No one took him seriously, least of all men like President Obama and Secretary of State Kerry who all worship the UN for it’s hard line, Euro-style anti-Americanism and anti-Zionism and for its deference to the Organization of Islamic States.
Anti-Zionism does not equal racism. Actually, as Martin Luther King Jr. once said: Anti-Zionism is anti-Semitism. And, as Judea Pearl has said: Anti-Zionism=Racism.
I have been covering the war against the Jews for more than forty-four years; some would say for sixty-six years, since I joined Hashomer Hatzair, (The Young Guard or Watchers), in Borough Park, Brooklyn, in 1948.
I believe the time is right for such questions to be posed and for lawyers to begin thinking about whether the poisoned propaganda being purveyed and unleashed by both the United Nations and the New York Times rises to the level of a civil or criminal lawsuit. If lawyers emerge to take this on, I will do all that I can to assist them. |

From PreOccupied Territory… The Iron Dome of Snark
Hamas Rockets Leave Leftists Buried Under Collapsed IdeologyNorth Tel Aviv, July 16 2014 – http://www.preoccupiedterritory.com/hamas-rockets-leave-leftists-buried-under-collapsed-ideology/ While Hamas rocket-launch teams in Gaza continue their so-far-unsuccessful attempt to sow widespread death and destruction among the Israeli civilian population, the Home Front Command today reported a sharp increase in referrals of leftist Israelis for treatment of psychiatric trauma. Hospital emergency rooms that had been prepared for numerous physical injuries have instead been receiving a large number of psychiatric cases. Shock among leftists is apparently the major cause, according to ER spokespeople and patients. “This morning I was watching CNN report how innocent Palestinians, disabled women and children among them, were being killed by the Zionist air force when the sirens went off for the umpteenth time,” said a shaken Cameron Sickle, a Tel Aviv member of the Meretz party. “Before I could get to the shelter, I was out in the open and there was this big crash – I was suddenly struck by the notion that Hamas could have built a functional, possibly even thriving Gaza, but instead they are trying to kill me, and CNN and the BBC never told me that, and of course why should they and I just can’t take it and.. and…” Sickle is under sedation at Asuta Hospital. Emergency Services last night removed Peace Now activist Hasva Halila from an alleyway behind her apartment building in the Ramat Aviv neighborhood. An incoming rocket had been intercepted directly overhead by an Iron Dome battery as she huddled against the wall. Magen David Adom ambulance volunteers reported that Halila had been “terrorized” – they found her stuttering incoherently and repeatedly, “Missiles are bad, peace now, war is bad, peace now, they almost killed me, peace now, a missile saved my life, peace now, missiles are bad, peace now, war is bad…” “We call this behavior the Mobius Syndrome,” said a paramedic at the scene, “when committed leftists whose entire lives had been spent relying on rage, personal attack, willful blindness, moral relativism, self-loathing, and snarky rejoinder to sustain their belief system, suddenly are confronted with a cold, undeniable and deadly fact contrary to their rose-colored vision. They go into shock, endlessly trapped in a circular pattern of incredulity. Hopefully, research at Weizmann can provide a cure.” Poll figures are showing a 90% support rate for Israeli army efforts at stopping the barrage from Gaza while only 3% oppose. Ms. Halila is now committed to a psych ward, where she has repeatedly chided the custodian for killing billions of defenseless bacteria each time he washes the floor. |

A tale of 3 childrenBS”D 30July2014 2] Sonia was a16 1/2 year old, almost 17, immigrant from Soviet Russia when I met her in 1965. She was a sweet pretty wisp of a girl, naturally multi-shaded blonde hair and with sadness and joy together in her ice blue eyes and a musical tone to her gentle voice. I was a year older than her. She could never write to her parents or get letters from them for it would endanger their lives, if they were at all still alive. The simple discovery by the KGB of her disappearance would already put them in danger. Being school aged, and schooling being legally required, the authorities probably had discovered at least a year ago that she had escaped the dreaded Soviet regime. I immediately ran to take a bus to their place and joined the search teams. Trackers found signs of the struggle and the exit direction. The search took us into the eastern Negev and northern Arava region. After several days we had found the hut where they had taken her to. The border police went in while I had been told to stay back at first, and let them neutralize the terrorists, before I went in with the medics. There seemed to be four terrorists involved. Two were outside and were taken care of with silenced M-1 rifles. After a brief firefight with the remaining two, we could go in. The army medic, who was also her adopted father, advised me to wait while he and his assistant went in before me and would call me. When they called me in both had tears on their faces they had covered her completely leaving only her eyes exposed. There were blood stains seeping through the light emergency first aid covers. Though they had already given her an injection of pain reliever, her eyes poured out tremendous pain from the torture this gentle innocent girl had endured at the hands of those evil ghouls. She could barely speak, it was difficult to hear and understand what she said. I bent down close to her. She whispered to me, “The injection relieves the pain enough that I can talk. Please do not look at what was under the covers even not my face. Forgive me for not being able to give you a final kiss. Please gently kiss my eyes” Which I did. Then she said, “These 10 months of our loving friendship gave me solace and joy. You are my soul. Our love is eternal beyond time beyond this world; I ask that while you remember that, you must also continue your life anew. Shalom my precious….” Then my precious little Sonia closed her eyes for the last time. HAY”D (HaShem will avenge her blood)! With her passing two family trees were erased from the world. The generations she could have mothered would never be. Sonia an innocent gentle child who had harmed no-one was cruelly tortured to death by Muslim Arab war criminal fiends. 3] This one was told to me by an IDF medic after a recent war. The child was an Arab infant in Jenin, if I recall correctly which town it was. A squad was doing a house to house search. They came to a house from which was heard the cry of an infant and no other sound. One of the soldiers cautiously opened the door while others covered his back on the street. No one seemed to be inside except for a lone infant lying on its belly on the floor in the middle of the room. “Look at that. Those lousy characters abandoned a baby when they ran off. Poor little kid.” He called squad’s medic. 2 soldiers stood by the door to guard in case of any terrorists hiding to attack someone coming to care for the baby while the medic bent down to gently pick up the infant. |

Why Do All These Rabbis Warn Against Getting the Covid-19 Vaccine?
PRAYER TO BE SAVED FROM CORONAVIRUS
Master of Universe, who can do anything!
Cure me and the whole world of the Coronavirus, because redemption is near.
And through this reveal to us the 50th gate of holiness, the secret of the ibbur, and may we begin from this day onward to be strong in keeping interpersonal commandments (i.e. being kind to others).
And by virtue of this may we witness miracles and wonders the likes of which haven’t been since the creation of the world. And may there be sweetening of judgments for the entire world, to all mankind, men women and children.
Please God! Please cure Coronavirus all over the world, as it says about Miriam the prophetess, “Lord, please, cure her, please.”
Please God! Who can do anything! Send a complete healing to the entire world! To all men, women, children, boys and girls, to all humanity wherever they may be, and to all the animals, birds, and creatures. All should be cured from this disease in the blink of an eye, and no trace of the disease should remain.
And all will merit fear of Heaven and fear of God, O Merciful and Compassionate Father.
Please God, please do with us miracles and wonders as you did with our forefathers by the exodus from Egypt. And now, take us and the entire world out from this disease, release us and save us from the Coronavirus that wants to eliminate all mortals.
We now regret all the sins that we did, and we honestly ask for forgiveness. And in the merit of our repentance, this cursed disease, that does not miss men, women, boys, girls, and animals, will be eliminated.
Please God, as quick as the illness came it will go away and disappear immediately, in the blink of an eye, and by this the soul of Messiah Ben David will be revealed.
Please God, grant us the merit to be included in the level of the saints and pure ones, and bless anew all the fruit and vegetation, that all will be healed in the blink of an eye, and we will see Messiah Ben David face to face.
Please God, who acts with greatness beyond comprehension, and does wonders without number. Please now perform also with us miracles and wonders beyond comprehension and let no trace of this cursed disease remain. And may the entire world be cured in the blink of an eye.
Because Hashem did all this in order for us to repent, it is all in order for us to direct our hearts to our Father in Heaven, and by that He will send blessings and success to all of our handiwork.

Point of No Return: Jewish Refugees from Arab Countries
From the 1940s until the 1970s, and heightening with the founding of Israel in 1948, nearly million Jews were expelled from their homes across Arab countries such as Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Yemen, Libya, Algeria and Iran.
Jews were frequently subjected to pogroms, systemic violence and religious persecution. Their exiles were largely attributable to Arab regimes increasing their hostility toward Jews because of the very existence of Israel.
Today, while stories abound of many Arab refugees, few are aware or even acknowledge this forgotten exodus of Jewish refugees. Only in Israel has Nov. 30, the day after the UN voted to approve the Jewish-Arab partition plan of Palestine, been marked to commemorate their plight.

An important piece of evidence: The British Palestine Exploration Fund survey map – 1871-1877 – The PEF people delineated every wadi, every settlement, tree, and home. They crisscrossed the territory, and an examination of the map shows how empty and barren the land was, and how few people lived there.
“The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity… Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people… to oppose Zionism.” Zuheir Muhsein, the late Military Department head of the PLO and member of its Executive Council.; March 1977, Dutch daily Trouw
London cab driver’s answer to a request from a Muslim to turn off the radio. (You just got to love the Brits.)
A devout Arab Muslim entered a black cab in London .
He curtly asked the cabbie to turn off the radio because as decreed by his religious teaching, he must not listen to music because in the time of the prophet there was no music, especially Western music which is the music of the infidel.
The cab driver politely switched off the radio, stopped the cab and opened the door.
The Arab Muslim asked him, “What are you doing?”
The cabbie answered, “In the time of the prophet there were no taxis, so get out and wait for a camel.”I wonder how many years (hundreds for sure) Jewish people have lived in Quebec. I don’t believe that they have ever demanded that pork be removed from the school’s menu where their children attend…
Excellent reply by the Mayor of Dorval, Quebec, to the demands of the Muslim population in his community.
Put some pork on your fork.
Too bad the USA doesn’t have the common sense to publish this nationwide, even if they have a muslim in the white house. Should also be posted on signs all along U.S. borders.Let’s hear it for a Quebec mayor.
MAYOR REFUSES TO REMOVE PORK FROM SCHOOL CANTEEN MENU. EXPLAINS WHY
Muslim parents demanded the abolition of pork in all the school canteens of a Montreal suburb. The mayor of the Montreal suburb of Dorval, has refused, and the town clerk sent a note to all parents to explain why..
“Muslims must understand that they have to adapt to Canada and Quebec, its customs, its traditions, its way of life, because that’s where they chose to immigrate.
“They must understand that they have to integrate and learn to live in Quebec .
“They must understand that it is for them to change their lifestyle, not the Canadians who so generously welcomed them.
“They must understand that Canadians are neither racist nor xenophobic, they accepted many immigrants before Muslims (whereas the reverse is not true, in that Muslim states do not accept non-Muslim immigrants).
“That no more than other nations, Canadians are not willing to give up their identity, their culture.
“And if Canada is a land of welcome, it’s not the Mayor of Dorval who welcomes foreigners, but the Canadian-Quebecois people as a whole.
“Finally, they must understand that in Canada ( Quebec ) with its Judeo-Christian roots, Christmas trees, churches and religious festivals, religion must remain in the private domain. The municipality of Dorval was right to refuse any concessions to Islam and Sharia.
“For Muslims who disagree with secularism and do not feel comfortable in Canada, there are 57 beautiful Muslim countries in the world, most of them under-populated and ready to receive them with open halal arms in accordance with Shariah.
“If you left your country for Canada, and not for other Muslim countries, it is because you have considered that life is better in Canada than elsewhere.
“Ask yourself the question, just once, “Why is it better here in Canada than where you come from?”
“A canteen with pork is part of the answer.”
If you feel the same forward it on.

Will Grandma Make It To The Safe Room In 15 Seconds?
09July2014
Israel’s Foreign Affairs Min.
Imagine that you are just trying to live your life. However, terrorists constantly fire rockets at your hometown.
Now imagine that you are in your kitchen cooking dinner. When the siren goes off, you only have 15 seconds to get to the shelter. Even if the shelter is in the basement and you are on the second — or third or fourth — floor, you still have only 15 seconds. 15 seconds that separate life from death. This is the reality that men and women living in Israel (and not only in the south) face every day, sometimes ten times a day.
Israel Defense Forces tweet-24July2014-A rocket fired from Gaza hit an apartment building in the Israeli city of Ashkelon this morning.
What Do I Do When I Hear a Siren or A -Red Alert-Tzeva Adom
Can you imagine terror tunnels underneath your home? This is the reality for residents of Israeli villages and towns close to the Gaza Strip border. Hamas terrorists use these tunnels to smuggle explosives and other weapons into Israel to commit acts of terror against civilians.

The Price of Hamas’ Underground Terror Network

Hamas could be investing in the people of Gaza. Instead it invests in terrorism.
Construction materials meant for Palestinians routinely enter Gaza from Israel. To be exact, 4,680 trucks carrying 181 thousand tons of gravel, iron, cement, wood and other supplies have passed through the Kerem Shalom crossing since the beginning of 2014.
Imagine what Hamas could build with these resources instead of tunnels. Hundreds of homes and civilian structures for the residents of Gaza go unbuilt while the underground terror network continues to expand.

Gedolim and Farmers Alike See Protection in Shmittah as Rockets Rain Above

By: Shimmy Blum
During this period of mourning for the Beis Hamikdash and our era of glory in Eretz Yisroel, we cannot get the images of present day Eretz Yisroel out of our minds.
The missiles. The sirens. The smoke. The panic. The shelters. The frightened children. The destroyed homes.
Yet, through all the horror and carnage, the hand of Hashem has been visible to all. Although Israel has suffered several terrible deaths and injuries as a result, Hy”d, the casualty rate is nothing short of an open miracle considering the unprecedented quantity and scope of Hamas attacks.
In response to the situation, Rav Chaim Kanievsky, shlit”a, minced no words as to what is the true “Protective Edge” for the residents of Israel. “Chazal teach us that galus comes due to not observing Shmittah, and the horrors of this war are a result of this galus,” Rav Chaim said. “The remedy is to keep Shmittah and support those who do so. That is the protection that has the power to save us.”
On the frontier of this perilous battle stand the over 3,000 Keren Hashviis farmers, by far the largest group of uncompromising Shmittah observant farmers the Jewish people has had in memory. At a special Keren Hashviis gathering earlier this month, Rav Dovid Cohen, shlit”a, Rosh Yeshivas Chevron, offered the assembled farmers words of gratitude on behalf of the entire Nation. “It is not planes or tanks that are keeping us here in Eretz Yisroel,” he said. “You are…In the merit of keeping Shmittah, Hashem will help us.”
The farmers listening to Rav Cohen’s were very diverse in age, background and appearance – but they nodded their heads in near-perfect unison to the gadol’s words. If there is one common thread between these “giborei koach” – as Chazal call them, it is their unwavering emunah peshuta.
Deliberately forfeiting a full year’s worth of income, and instead incurring a loss, is an unbelievably great nisayon. Yet these giants have full confidence in their mesiras nefesh and the beracha it brings them – and all of klal Yisroel – now, in the shana hashishis, and in the future.
On July 8th, the eyes of the IDF, Israeli government and world media were on Kibbutz Zikim, a farming community near the Israel-Gaza border. In a virtually unprecedented brazen operation, five well trained, heavily armed Hamas terrorists infiltrated the area by sea, bent on wreaking maximum destruction. Thankfully, this incident, which brought the entire region to a virtual standstill, ended well. The terrorists were detected in time, and were all eliminated by IDF forces before they could inflict any damage.
One unassuming resident of Kibbutz Zikim is a silver haired vegetable farmer named Avrohom ben-Hamu. A member of the Keren Hashviis network, Avrohom is looking forward to keeping his first Shmittah ever in 5775. Face to face with this reality for the first time, the former Gush Katif resident is not only not dreadful, but is convinced his mitzvah is what protected him and others in the area when the suicidal terrorists were at their doorstep. “I’m moved, lo pashut,” he says.
After the Hamas incident, Avrohom walked around his vast farm, which produces 5 million Shekel in sales a year, with no dread that he’s about to abandon it all. Pointing towards the white roof of one of his hothouses, he states, “Here I have one roof, and above it another roof, but above it all is the borei olam watching over us. You and I – all of us – receive the beracha associated with mitzvas Shmittah.”

The Matzah Miracle that Saved the Residents of Kibbutz Sufa
Posted by JewishMom on Jul 30, 2014 ihttp://jewishmom.com/2014/07/30/the-matzah-miracle-that-saved-the-residents-of-kibbutz-sufa/This article by Avi Jacob (and translated by Rivka Friedman) appears on the site of Radio Kol Chai One of the things I love most about this story is the life-saving connection between the ultra-Charedi Jews in the story and the non-religious kibbutznikim. Yet another reminder that deep down, no matter how different we look and even act, we are one family.
Three weeks ago a group of residents came from Bnei Brak to harvest wheat for Pesach. They harvest the wheat every summer when the sun beats down on the fields, thoroughly drying the wheat. The wheat is then stored until the winter when they start the production and baking of matzos.
Aharon Samet, owner of the “Samet” factory producing “tzitzis” fringes, is the Badatz community supervisor for the wheat harvest. On a radio program today with Rabbi Moshe Ben Lulu, Samet told the story of the great miracle which occurred for the people of Israel thanks to this year’s wheat harvest.
“This year we are getting ready for the Shmitta agricultural sabbatical year, so this summer we harvested wheat grain for two years. We searched the whole country, looking for wheat which was sown late in the season and needed rain which fell late. At Kibbutz Sufa right next to the Gaza border we found an entire field sown in mid-January, which was considered very unusual, so we found 2000 acres of green wheat which was just right for us, “said Samet.
“We harvested the wheat,” said Samet, “and we ran into military police, as well as undercover and regular police who came to check out who we were.” The Gaza air campaign was already underway, and Samet and his colleagues saw the smoke clouds over Gaza, and heard the sirens while they were busy harvesting and transferring the wheat to trucks and moving them towards the cleaning plant near Masmiya for cleaning the wheat, fumigating and tithing it.
Footage of Hamas Terror Attack Being Thwarted
Two days later 13 terrorists came from Gaza out from the tunnel which opened into the fields near Sufa. The terrorists had been planning a big attack, and had been counting on hiding among Sufa’s giant wheat field–which the matzah makers had just chopped down in its entirety. The terrorists couldn’t understand how their camouflage had disappeared.
The empty field enabled military observers to easily spot and identify the terrorists and open fire on them. Many Jewish lives were thus saved by the grace of Heaven.

Hamas had apparently been preparing a murderous assault on Israeli civilian targets for the coming Jewish New Year Holiday, Rosh Hashanah, which begins on September 24, according anonymous sources in the Israeli security services, as reported today by the Israeli daily Maariv.
The Hamas plan consisted of what was to be a surprise attack in which 200 fighters would be dispatched through each of dozens of tunnels dug by Hamas under the border from Gaza to Israel, and seize kibbutzim and other communities while killing and kidnapping Israeli civilians.
Israeli soldiers already frustrated a surprise assault by Hamas through one tunnel from Gaza into the Eshkol district of Israel on July 19. The Hamas fighters escaped back into the tunnel, but the clash cost the lives of two Israel Defense Force [IDF] troops.
An IDF paratrooper officer emerges from a Hamas cross-border tunnel that his unit discovered, July 20, 2014. (Image source: IDF)
Israel has reportedly discovered at least 30 tunnels, and has destroyed several of them by employing bulldozers. IDF excavation of the tunnels has resulted in the seizure of tons of Hamas supplies, as well as the discovery of plans for future operations. Clearly, the network of tunnels — using hundreds of tons of concrete that might otherwise have been used by the Palestinians for building homes, shopping malls, parks, schools, hospitals and libraries — indicates that Hamas had been preparing for an ongoing conflict for at least a year. According to the reports, each tunnel has arteries, veins, offshoots, and offshoots of the offshoots in intricate and complex arrangements. As one Israeli spokesman said, “There are two Gazas, one above ground and one below ground: an underground terrorist city.”
What Hamas planned to do with the terror tunnels

Sounds to me like Mumbai….
UPDATE FRIDAY JULY 25 2:45 PM
Maariv has now confirmed the date – Rosh HaShanah – about two months from now (link in Hebrew). They are also confirming that the plan was to send 200 terrorists per tunnel into six different ‘settlements’ near the Gaza border to murder or kidnap as many Israelis as possible. The tunnels are not straight, but intersect at various points. I will have more on this in a later post.

Emuna Outreach, now under the auspices of Rabbi Shalom Arush shlit’a, gives top priority to strengthening our home-front. We have been distributing emuna books and CDs all over the south of Israel, to civilians and IDF soldiers alike.
The outdoor market of Ashdod has in the past been a favorite Friday-morning Hamas target, particularly because of the concentration of people there. Rebbe Nachman of Breslev promised that anywhere his book Likutei Moharan is, there won’t be fire or catastrophe. Emuna Outreach has already fitted quite a few armored vehicles in the IDF with Likutei Moharan. Earlier today, we made sure that bomb shelters and local merchants received the book as well, thanks to your generous support. Everyone who received the book was truly moved and tremendously grateful. I was asked to relay a ton of blessings to our contributors.
You can do your part in the war effort too. Your donation helps strengthen Israel’s soldiers and civilians under fire. Your assistance in spreading emuna wins wars. Please donate with an open heart to Emuna Outreach – you can do so by clicking the “Donate” button on the top left-hand toolbar of this site. This is a tremendous mitzva and a direct contribution to the war effort and to the full redemption of our people. Thanks, Shabbat Shalom G-d bless always!

Doron Elbaz, who owns a farm near the Gaza border, told his kids: “Let’s go buy some lemons and make lemonade for the soldiers driving by.” Soon, his lemonade stand became the focal point for donations that began pouring in from across the country – food, clothing, toiletries, shampoo, baked goods.
Joined by a few volunteers, he started making 1,000 meals a day for soldiers, then 2,000 meals, then 5,000 – as donations, and requests from IDF units, poured in. Now 250 volunteers are cooking 30,000 meals per day. A dozen masseurs have set up tables to offer free massages. A barber was offering free haircuts and free shaves. There are a number of similar “rest stops” for soldiers at many intersections along the Gaza border.

Here’s a miracle of miracles:
Nir Dabouri of Israel’s Channel Two News online (Mako), reports: an IDF infantryman was hit with an AK-47 (Kalatchnikov) bullet which hit one of the pouches in his flak jacket. The pouch held an Israeli-made assault grenade. The grenade fully absorbed the bullet, but didn’t explode!
This is a magnificent triple miracle as follows:
1. The soldier was hit in the torso but the bullet did him no harm;
2. The bullet penetrated the grenade (the bullet could have easily ricocheted off the grenade and hit the soldier anywhere in his torso);
2. The grenade did not explode!
The chances of a soldier emerging unscratched from such an uncounter is one in a trillion.

Hebrew Prayer for Members of the Israel Defense Force

Invoking God’s protection for the members of the Israel Defense Forces.
by Aish.com staffHe Who blessed our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob — may He bless the fighters of the Israel Defense Forces, who stand guard over our land and the cities of our God, from the border of the Lebanon to the desert of Egypt, and from the Great Sea unto the approach of the Aravah, on the land, in the air, and on the sea.May the Almighty cause the enemies who rise up against us to be struck down before them. May the Holy One, Blessed is He, preserve and rescue our fighters from every trouble and distress and from every plague and illness, and may He send blessing and success in their every endeavor.
May He lead our enemies under our soldiers’ sway and may He grant them salvation and crown them with victory. And may there be fulfilled for them the verse: For it is the Lord your God, Who goes with you to battle your enemies for you to save you.
Now let us respond: Amen.
An IDF soldier’s letter from the front
From a Solider at the Front. Original in Hebrew….translated into English with a few comments from me. Having been down there a few times, I can personally vouch for the accuracy of this letter. On a personal note, before going down South last night for a pizza delivery to IDF soldiers, my daughter gave me a stack of letters and pictures from children in our community to distribute to the delivery. After giving the soldiers 60 pies, I said, “Wait, I have to give you the letters from the kids…” A soldier stopped everything and said — “THOSE are the most important…much more than the pizza…and hugged a pile of letters that I gave him.”Am Yisrael Chai!–Jameel
A soldier on the border writes:
What’s happening here in the staging area [area where soldiers prepare to enter Gaza] is beyond comprehension, not rationally, not emotionally and beggars the imagination.
Almost every hour a car shows up overflowing with food, snacks, cold drinks, socks, underwear, undershirts, hygiene supplies, wipes, cigarettes, backgammon and more. They’re coming from the North and the Center, from manufacturers, from companies and private businesses, from prisons, Chareidim and Settlers, from Tel Aviv and even Saviyon.
Every intersection on they way down here we get stopped, not by the police, but be residents giving out food. What is amazing is that the entire situation wasn’t organized and everyone is coming on their own without coordination between the folks coming.
They’re writing letters and blessings, how they’re thinking of us all the time. There are those who spent hours making sandwiches, so they’re as perfect and comforting as possible.
Of course representatives of Chabad are here to help soldiers put on Tefillin and distributing Cha’Ta’Ts (Chumash, Tehillim, Tanya) for every troop transport and Breslov are showing up to the border and dancing with the soldiers with great joy.
The Chareidim are coming from their yeshivot to ask the names of the soldiers with their mothers’ names so that the whole yeshiva can pray for them. It should be mentioned that all of this is done under the threat of the terrorist tunnels and rockets in the area.
Soroka Hospital (in Be’er Sheva) today looks like a 5 star hotel. A wounded friend who was recently discharged told us how the MasterChef truck is parked outside and is preparing food for the wounded.
It goes without saying the amount of prayer services that are going on. On the religious front as well, there are lectures and Torah classes, all the food is obviously Kosher. Shachrit, Mincha, and Maariv with Sifrei Torah. They’re giving out tzitzit and Tehilim by the hundreds. It’s become the new fashion! The Rabbi of Maglan [Special Forces unit] told me that almost the entire unit has started wearing them, because the Army Rabbinate has been giving out tzitzit that wick away sweat. They’re gaining both a Mitzva and a high quality undershirt. We’ve started calling them “Shachpatzitzti” (a portmanteau of the Hebrew term for body armor and tzitzit). We’re having deep conversations late into the night without arguments, without fights and we find ourselves agreeing on most stuff.
We’re making lots of jokes at Hamas’s expensive and without politics. There’s lots more to add but my battery is running low and the staff has been requesting someone give a class on Likutei MoharaN (Breslov).
How happy is the nation that is like this.
Making it Possible
24July2014 http://matzav.com/making-it-possible
By Chaya Gitty Smith
There have always been things I thought I could never do. Not in a physical sense , more in an emotional and spiritual sense. That is, until about a month ago. On Pesach night, one of the more popular upbeat songs we sing is Dayenu. We remember all the wonderful and miraculous things Hashem has done for us and ask him “Dayenu”? Was it not enough that You freed us from slavery and took us out of Egypt. Was it not enough that You split the sea etc… The events of the past few weeks feel like a sad Dayenu song that Hashem is singing to us. Tragic, scary and painful things have been happening. We respond with introspection, extra mitzvos and an abundance of support for our fellow brothers. Hashem sees the effort we are putting in but asks us Dayenu. Is that really all you can give.
When the three precious neshamos were kidnapped, over night the country transformed. We stood together, prayed more, did everything we could for their safe return. For eighteen long and painful days we kept up the momentum. We composed songs, had mass gatherings of Tehillim, we pushed ourselves farther than we ever thought we could go. We did a tremendous amount. More than anyone thought possible. But Hashem said Dayenu. The news came out, on that monday night, that those three precious boys have returned to World of Truth. The tears shed that night, could have filled the oceans. The love and warmth sent to the three mourning families could have melted winter away. We did even more. Gave even more. Cared even more. But Hashem asked Dayenu.
Rockets started falling. Sirens started wailing. People started waking up their precious sleeping children to run for cover. Hundreds of rockets have been shot at cities all over Israel in the past few days. Soldiers are preparing for the dangerous mission of entering Gaza. Again, we as a nation, we act. We daven and cry. We stand together. We do what we can. We try our best. We look inward and give even more. Hoping that this time it will be enough. Hashem will not need to ask Dayenu.
There have always been things I thought I could never do. I have never been able to sit for an hour and just say Tehillim. I have never cried for a stranger. I have never had so much faith. I never thought I could care this much. I didn’t think it was possible to love this much. I love my people, I love my land more than I ever could have imagined. That is until a few weeks ago.
We are always putting limits on ourselves. We set our standards too low. We forget that we have the soul of a Jew. The limitless Jew. The depths of greatness we can reach, individually and collectively are infinite. The events of the past weeks is God speaking to us. Begging us to to understand the unlimited potential we have. Now as a nation we must listen to those messages. We need to break free from the limits we have put on ourselves. the voices that tell us that we cant must be silenced and replaced with shouts of “I CAN!” We must believe that we will succeed! We must always be looking for ways in which we can grow and uplift those around us. So that we, as a united and strong people, can greet Moshiach. We will then be able to turn to Hashem in joy and sing Dayenu.

The Essential Guide to Israeli Airstrikes
Don’t Cry for Us Israelis
by Naomi Ragen on July 25th, 2014 http://www.naomiragen.com/israel/dont-cry-us-israelis/
For those who don’t recognize it, the picture is Dresden February 1, 1945.
I prefer that you – writers of these lies and libels – hate me and my country, if it means that you can save your tears for other peoples’ dead. We aren’t greedy for sympathy. After all, we got so much after the Holocaust, we prefer other people to have their share now. These days, we prefer to live, rather than have people cry over us and the injustices done to us.
I’m sitting here in Jerusalem after a week of heartbreak over three murdered teens, followed by almost three weeks of sirens, bomb blasts, and finally, the funerals of young IDF soldiers, of whom one-third are students who should be taking their final exams instead of risking their lives. I’m reading on the internet about what a horrible person I am as an Israeli and as a Jew, and what a terrible, immoral country I live in.
All this criticism comes mainly from the European press: The Guardian, the BBC, papers in Italy, Norway, France, and don’t forget America: The New York Times, CNN. And I’m thinking: Gee, the British should understand. After all, they lived through the blitz, Nazis raining bombs indiscriminately down on them, the way Hamas is raining bombs down on us. And when the brave pilots of the RAF aimed their bombs at Dresden and killed 300,000 men, women and children, they didn’t throw down leaflets telling people to politely evacuate; didn’t send their soldiers to knock on doors to see if they’d followed the leaflets instructions ( as CNN complained Israel failed to do at an UNRWA school, which was probably hit by a Hamas bomb anyway.)
And I think of the rest of Europe, who rounded up our grandparents and great-grandparents, and relatives —men, women and children—and sent them off to be gassed, no questions asked. And I think: They are now the moral arbiters of the free world? They are telling the descendants of the people they murdered how to behave when other anti-Semites want to kill them?
As for Americans, represented by the New York Times, that bastion of high-minded hypocrisy and mediocre journalism parading as the “newspaper of record,” one has only to read the article by Professor Auerbach in the New York Observer (“Two Weeks of Shallow, Facile Moral Equivalency From the New York Times“) to see how Jodi Rudoren and other Times apparatchiks have learned to close their minds and love Hamas. After all, there are CHILDREN DYING. It doesn’t matter that the Palestinians have educated an entire generation to be little Nazi-wannabes, who worship death and hate Jews, murdering their souls, and are now callously putting their bodies in harm’s way to use for touching photo ops. We shouldn’t be shocked by this omission by the Times. After all, The New York Times was one of the last news outlets to bring to the attention of the reading public the Nazi atrocities in Europe. Read the Times during the nightmare years, and see if you can’t find a pattern here.
And so, as an Israeli, brought up with Jewish values, and an American, taught to love freedom, justice, democracy and fair play, I have to tell all of you – Europeans, Americans, and last of all Muslim terrorist sympathizers and barbarians, that what you are saying no longer moves anyone of good moral judgment and intelligence. The current crisis in Gaza is so morally clear-cut, so absolutely a case of self-defense, that I must say to you, as someone finally said to Senator McCarthy: “Sir, have you no shame?”
So by all means, cry for the Palestinian people – men women and children – whose duly elected leadership has callously left them without protection from just retribution for their terrorist crimes. The leaders who took their people’s aid money and are living in Qatar in five star hotels building shopping centers for themselves. Who built terrorist tunnels under their homes, mosques, hospitals and schools, and recruited their sons to die for Allah, while they sit in bunkers waiting for the U.N. to rescue them.
Don’t cry for us, or our families, or our children, or grandchildren. Not this time. Not ever. Not if we can help it. Because this time, thank God, we have a country. We are armed. This time, with God’s help, we know how to protect ourselves from Nazis and their high-minded media cheerleaders.
I would like to end this with an expletive and a hand gesture towards the people I’m addressing. Please choose one you think would be fitting. I can think of many.
