Riots have broken out again in Amsterdam tonight11November2024
To Amsterdam’s Jews, please stay safe. Don’t go outside. To the rest of the world, look at what you’ve done. You can deny it all you want, but as these horrible attacks continue to happen, know it is your fault. You have enabled it, you have defended it, and, deep down, you were probably hoping it would happen again.

“Not one German was involved in rounding up and deporting Holland’s Jews; it was Dutch police and Austrians”

![]() The law is not a moral compass. The people who hid Anne Frank were breaking the law. The people who killed her were following it. The next time someone screams Israel is violating “International Law”, show them this meme and ask, “What did your group or country do to actively save the Jews from the Holocaust, Pogrom or Terrorist Attack?” The list of Jew haters will be very, very long. For the US Democrats, let’s start with FDR closing the gates to Jewish immigration to the US in the 1930s and 1940s and not bombing the Death Camps. The British closed the gates to Eretz Israel. Germany, France and the rest of Europe along with the Arabs; aiding and abetting the Nazis in murdering 6 Million Jew along with Arab Pogroms against the Jews because they were Jews.

![]() State-Enforced Antisemitism in America? Lawfare against Jews in AmericaJewish Journalist Sloan Rachmuth Arrested for Objecting to Islamic Terror Symbol in U.S. Grocery Store—A Chilling Precedent (Exclusive Interview)Amy Mek 28February2025 https://rairfoundation.com/jewish-journalist-sloan-rachmuth-arrested-objecting-islamic-terror/
Dragged from her home in handcuffs, paraded past her neighbors, and thrown in jail on a bogus charge, Jewish journalist Sloan Rachmuth was politically targeted, humiliated, and silenced for daring to object to a U.S. grocery store employee wearing an Islamic terror symbol—exposing a shocking case of corporate complicity, police overreach, and state-enforced antisemitism.
Holly Springs, NC – Sloan Rachmuth, a Jewish journalist and political commentator, was arrested at her home in front of her terrified children on November 3, 2024. Her alleged crime? According to Rachmuth, she objected to a supermarket employee at Harris Teeter wearing the controversial keffiyeh, a political symbol widely associated with Hamas and its ambitions to destroy Israel and the Jewish people worldwide.
Rachmuth, an outspoken advocate against antisemitism and a contributor to national media outlets on Middle Eastern affairs, explained to RAIR Foundation in an exclusive interview that she was handcuffed, marched through her neighborhood, and charged with cyberstalking, posting about the troubling incident online.
Rachmuth explained the police never asked for her side of the story, nor investigated the credibility of the alleged victim. Her arrest was based solely on an unverified accusation, raising serious concerns about law enforcement’s complicity in this apparent retaliation.
Rather than uphold its corporate attire and political expression policies, Harris Teeter—a subsidiary of The Kroger Co., the largest supermarket chain in America—ignored its regulations. Indeed, Harris Teeter allowed an employee to wear a threatening symbol of Islamic and Palestinian terrorism, visibly wrapping it around her head while working with customers.
Rachmuth describes this as not just corporate censorship or police overreach but state-backed antisemitic persecution and the criminalization of those who publicly object to terror support and antisemitism.
Sloan Rachmuth
A Known Hamas Symbol in a U.S. Grocery StoreOn October 31, 2024, Rachmuth entered Harris Teeter on Sunset Lake Road in Holly Springs, North Carolina, a store where she had shopped regularly for seven years. According to Rachmuth, as she checked out, she noticed an employee handling food while wearing a keffiyeh—a garment long associated with the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) and frequently worn by Hamas militants and supporters. In America, the keffiyeh has been used as a rallying icon for violence against Jews during demonstrations. Even countries like the United Arab Emirates and Egypt—both Arab nations—have banned its political use, recognizing its ties to Islamic groups.
Aware of its political significance, Rachmuth says she politely asked the employee, Amira M. Fattah, “It’s Halloween; are you wearing this as a costume?” Fattah replied, “No, it’s for Free Palestine,” confirming she wore the keffiyeh as a political statement rather than for religious reasons.
As a Jewish woman and a longtime customer, Rachmuth was deeply uncomfortable with a store employee openly supporting an ideology that symbolized the destruction of Israel and the Jewish people while handling food. While at the store, Rachmuth escalated her concerns to store manager Sheronna Irick, expecting Harris Teeter to uphold its policies against political speech in the workplace.
Instead of addressing the hostile work environment created by an employee wearing a symbol of Jewish oppression, Irick dismissed Rachmuth’s complaint outright and told her, “Like it or leave.” Harris Teeter’s Failure to ActRealizing that the store manager was indifferent to the issue, Rachmuth contacted Harris Teeter’s corporate office to inform them of what had occurred.
Frustrated by the store manager’s hostile response, Rachmuth turned to social media and posted about the encounter on X (formerly Twitter). She included a photo of the employee wearing the keffiyeh—showing only the employee’s profile—along with a caption questioning the corporation’s stance on political speech in the workplace.
The post quickly gained traction, sparking widespread debate about corporate complicity in antisemitism. Rather than address the concern, Harris Teeter’s employees escalated the situation by calling the police in what appears to be an act of retaliation against a customer.
According to arrest records and law enforcement, store manager Sheronna Irick played a pivotal role in facilitating this retaliation. made it clear that the Harris Teeter manager’s actions directly enabled Rachmuth’s falsely-charged arrest. The Arrest: How Law Enforcement Was Weaponized Against a Jewish MotherThree days later, after Rachmuth’s X post, Holly Springs Police officers—Elliott Warren, Benjamin Marino, and Edgar Hernandez—arrived at Rachmuth’s home and began pounding on her door.
To understand how this politically motivated arrest unfolded, examining events leading up to it is important. A Timeline of the Political Arrest
Rachmuth, a mother of two, says she was shocked and confused by the officers’ presence. When she demanded the reason for her arrest, Officer Benjamin Marino chillingly replied, “Something you did made her uncomfortable, all right?” Rachmuth’s arrest video shows she was then handcuffed with no questions asked. She says the police paraded her through her neighborhood before taking her to Wake County Jail. Adding to the cruelty of the arrest, this occurred on her 17th wedding anniversary, as her terrified children, concerned husband and protective German Shepherd watched helplessly.
Sloan RING footage
Rachmuth states that despite the alleged crime being an unarrestable misdemeanor, she was forced to pay a $1,000 cash bail—a sum typically reserved for serious offenses—and was treated like a violent criminal during the booking process.
Democratic activists and their media swiftly circulated her mugshot and charge sheet online, weaponizing the arrest as a political smear campaign. Major left-wing outlets, including The Independent, The Intercept, MSN, Daily Mail, and other partisan publications, immediately jumped on the bandwagon, launching coordinated attacks against Rachmuth. They spread her mugshot far and wide, framing her as a villain—without even attempting to reach out to her for comment.
This rapid media blitz has left many questioning who contacted the media so swiftly and how they were able to mobilize coverage within hours of her arrest. Just as questions linger over who at Harris Teeter initially called the police, suspicions are growing that this was not an organic reaction but rather a carefully coordinated effort to weaponize the criminal justice system against a Jewish journalist. Many believe this was a deliberate, politically motivated attack meant to silence and intimidate her—setting a dangerous precedent for anyone daring to expose antisemitism or radical extremism in America. A Baseless Charge Meant to Intimidate and Silence CriticsThe charge against Rachmuth—cyberstalking—had no legal precedent or justification. The accusation alleged that she used her phone to take a photo with the intent to embarrass someone—an assertion unsupported by any state or federal law and one that raises serious First Amendment concerns.
Even Wake County District Attorney Lorrin Freeman, a Democrat, acknowledged the blatant injustice of the case and dropped all charges the next day, stating that the alleged conduct did not meet the elements of the offense.
However, this charge’s legal overreach and selective enforcement remain deeply troubling. North Carolina’s cyberstalking statute, G.S. 14-196.3, requires repeated electronic communications made to a person with the intent to “annoy, threaten, or harass” an individual. Rachmuth’s single post about a store policy does not meet this legal threshold. Furthermore, legal precedents in State v. Bishop (2016) and State v. Shackelford (2019) have reinforced the principle that vague and overly broad interpretations of online speech statutes violate constitutional protections of free speech and press freedom.
If this charge had moved forward, it would have set a chilling precedent for journalists, activists, and citizens engaged in lawful political speech. The case raises serious questions about lawfare and the use of activist law enforcement to target political dissenters.
While Freeman ultimately dropped the charges, the fact that the Holly Springs Police Department pursued them in the first place—despite clear constitutional and procedural concerns—demonstrates the selective weaponization of the law to intimidate and silence individuals exposing antisemitism and Islamic radicalism. The police department has yet to acknowledge any wrongdoing in Rachmuth’s case.
The damage is done. Rachmuth has been publicly humiliated, smeared as an extremist, and left to deal with the lasting emotional trauma inflicted on her and her children. Left-wing media outlets quickly distributed her mugshot and charge sheet, weaponized to destroy her credibility and intimidate others from speaking out.
The swiftness with which the media picked up the story—without even verifying the charge’s validity—further supports the growing suspicion that this was a coordinated attack on a Jewish journalist for daring to challenge the glorification of Hamas and its genocidal ideology. A Dangerous Precedent: How Hamas Sympathizers Exploit U.S. InstitutionsRachmuth argues that this arrest highlights a disturbing trend in America: where Jewish individuals who expose the glorification of Islamic terrorism and Hamas’s genocidal ideology are punished. At the same time, those who promote these dangerous movements face no repercussions. She asserts that the legal system has been weaponized to silence and intimidate those who speak out against radicalism, making it increasingly risky for Jewish Americans to call attention to antisemitism and extremism.
According to Rachmuth, her arrest raises serious concerns about how political and ideological biases impact law enforcement actions, particularly when it comes to Jewish Americans who challenge the normalization of anti-Jewish hostility.
Rachmuth also points to what she describes as a two-tiered justice system at play. Between 2022 and 2023, she lodged multiple detailed complaints with the Holly Springs Police Department regarding relentless harassment, cyberstalking, and threats she received for being Jewish and having an Israeli husband. Internal documents shared with RAIR show her detailed police reports of the doxxing of her family, anti-Jewish slurs, and ongoing harassment from known perpetrators were ignored by the police chief. Emails show the police declined to take action, stating that ‘no criminal North Carolina General Statutes have been violated.’
In a letter to Rachmuth dated January 9, 2023, the police admitted that they had thoroughly analyzed the documentation, consulted with the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (NC-SBI), and ultimately concluded that the harassment fell under ‘First Amendment protected speech’—even though it included threats, public exposure of personal records, and clear targeting of her family. In an email, the police chief justified inaction by citing the need to follow a chain of command before presenting charges for judicial review.
Yet, regarding her arrest, no such legal scrutiny or procedural delay was observed, as evidenced by the charges being dropped within 24 hours. She was promptly taken into custody without the due diligence police had claimed was necessary in previous cases. The statute requires ‘repeated’ communication directly to a person, a requirement absent from the arrest warrant. Furthermore, North Carolina courts have overturned similar cases on constitutional grounds.
Questions remain over who ordered her arrest. The DA was not involved in the initial decision—as later suggested when Freeman personally called her to confirm there was no case. Was this the work of a police department eager to silence her? She argues that the lack of due process in her case, compared to the meticulous legal caution used when she was the victim, speaks volumes about the selective enforcement of the law.
Rachmuth insists that those responsible for what she describes as her wrongful arrest, including Holly Springs Police Chief Paul Liquorie and the officers involved, must be held accountable. She warns that the decision to arrest her, despite the lack of legal grounds, sets a dangerous precedent for civil liberties, Jewish advocacy, and the ability to challenge radical ideologies without fear of state-backed retaliation. Unanswered Questions: Who Will Be Held Responsible?
State-Enforced Antisemitism in America?Rachmuth argues that her arrest is a direct attack on Jewish Americans who speak out against antisemitism and radicalism. She believes that her treatment at the hands of Harris Teeter and the Holly Springs Police Department reflects a growing danger faced by Jews in the United States—where supporters of terrorism are given a platform. At the same time, those who oppose terrorism are silenced and criminalized.
For Rachmuth, this case is more than just corporate censorship or police overreach—it is a glaring example of how extremists manipulate the United States legal system to punish those who object to terrorism. Lawfare is a tool of intimidation and activist police departments are complicit, using their power to suppress dissent and terrorize law-abiding citizens, she says.
Rachmuth warns that this weaponization of law enforcement against a Jewish journalist sets a dangerous precedent for the future of free speech, religious liberty, and civil rights. She argues that if an American can be arrested simply for objecting online to pro-terrorist symbolism in a grocery store, then no one is safe from politically motivated prosecution.
RAIR Foundation will continue to monitor this case closely and demand full accountability from Harris Teeter, the Holly Springs Police Department, and all individuals responsible for what it describes as a blatant abuse of power. Replies on X

![]() El Al announces Shabbat rescue flights from AmsterdamIsraeli airline announces it will run free last-minute flights to bring Israelis home from Amsterdam today, even on Shabbat, following the pogrom against Israeli soccer fans.Israel National News / 8November2024, 10:25 AM (GMT+2) http://www.israelnationalnews.com/news/398838
Following last night’s antisemitic pogrom in Amsterdam, El Al announced that it will operate rescue flights from the destination to Tel Aviv at short notice, including on Shabbat. The flights will be free of charge, the first flight will take off from Amsterdam at 2:00 p.m. (local time), and is expected to land back in Tel Aviv later today.
Hundreds of fans of the Maccabi Tel Aviv soccer team reported that they were attacked overnight Thursday by Arabs in Amsterdam, as they left the stadium following Maccabi’s game against AFC Ajax.
The fans testified that an ambush had been prepared for them in advance at various points outside the stadium.
Disturbing footage from the city, which was posted to social media, fans are seen being violently attacked, beaten and even run over. One of the fans was forced to say “Free Palestine” before he was let go. Some of the fans barricaded themselves in shops and other places in the city. The local police escorted some of the Israelis back to their hotels.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry said that ten fans were injured and that three people are unaccounted for, and efforts to get in touch with them are ongoing.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu this morning spoke with Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof following the pogrom.
Prime Minister Netanyahu said that he views with utmost gravity the planned antisemitic attack against Israeli citizens and requested that security be increased for the Dutch Jewish community.
The Prime Minister thanked his Dutch counterpart for expressing shock over last night’s events and for saying that it was an extraordinary and antisemitic event.
Pursuant to the Prime Minister’s directive, Israeli planes are now en route to the Netherlands to bring back the [Israeli] citizens, including the wounded.
Dutch right-wing leader Geert Wilders condemned the violence and wrote on X, “Looks like a Jew hunt in the streets of Amsterdam. Arrest and deport the multicultural scum that attacked Maccabi Tel Aviv supporters in our streets. Ashamed that this can happen in The Netherlands. Totally unacceptable.”
He later posted again about the incident and wrote, “A pogrom in the streets of Amsterdam. We have become the Gaza of Europe. Muslims with Palestinian flags hunting down Jews. I will NOT accept that. NEVER.”
“The authorities will be held accountable for their failure to protect the Israeli citizens. Never again,” he added.
EL AL mobilized to assist Israeli citizens in Amsterdam

![]() Dutch police refuse to guard Jewish sites over ‘moral dilemmas,’ officers sayMarcel de Weerd and Michel Theeboom, from the Jewish Police Network, claimed ““There are colleagues who no longer want to protect Jewish targets or events.”
Officers in the Dutch police force have been refusing to protect Jewish targets, two officers told Nieuw Israëlisch Weekblad earlier this week.
Marcel de Weerd and Michel Theeboom, representing the Jewish Police Network, expressed concerns over changes they were seeing in the force.
“There are colleagues who no longer want to protect Jewish targets or events. They talk about ‘moral dilemmas,’ and I see a tendency emerging to give in to that. That would truly mark the beginning of the end. I’m concerned about that,” Theeboom said.
Adding to Theeboom’s claims, De Weerd said, “We see that leadership is struggling with this. Especially now, with the conflict in the Middle East, we risk drifting away from what we should stand for as a collective. We need to keep discussing this with each other.”
De Weerd also claimed that many of the younger officers he had encountered were ignorant of the country’s history, including the police’s role in World War II.
The officers later spoke with De Telegraaf, where they said that some members of the police expressed they didn’t want to be deployed at the Dutch National Holocaust Museum in Amsterdam and refused food and drinks from the venue.
Mireille Beentjes, the police force’s spokeswoman, told De Telegraaf she had heard of officers making moral objections, admitting there were “no strict policies.”
“We take moral objections into account when creating schedules. But if there’s an urgent task, you will be deployed, whether you want to or not,” she said. “You are expected to behave professionally. Others shouldn’t notice anything.”
Beentjies claimed officers had been made to guard institutes and events that they found morally objectionable in other circumstances.
“It pains them when the Quran is burned, but at the same time, they still have to protect the people who do it,” Beentjes stressed.
According to the Brussels Signal, Commissioner of the Dutch National Police Janny Knol claimed, “Police officers are human beings and have the right to their own opinions and emotions.” However, he stressed, “But when it comes to people’s safety, that is our top priority. We are here for everyone. That is the foundation of our work as police officers.”
Nine Kooiman, President of the Dutch National Police Union, reportedly added, “If you keep giving in to everyone, there’s no end to it. You are in service of society and must be able to distance yourself from your personal considerations and emotions. A professional attitude.”
Koen Simmers, another official at the union, said, “It is unacceptable that there are police officers who refuse to carry out tasks and orders, such as protecting Jewish, Christian, Islamic institutions, demonstrations, or social events.
“The police are there for everyone. Moral objections may exist and are expressed, but if you are not prepared to protect everyone, then you have chosen the wrong job.”
Dutch Member of Parliament Geert Wilders condemned officers refusing to guard Jewish institutes.
Unacceptable. If an officer does not want to guard Jewish objects, that is grounds for dismissal. Police officers do not want to guard Jewish objects: police leadership understands ‘moral objections’
“Unacceptable. If an officer does not want to guard Jewish objects, that is grounds for dismissal,” Wilders wrote on X/Twitter. The threats faced by Dutch JewsIn the Netherlands, much like the rest of the Diaspora, antisemitic incidents significantly increased after Hamas’s October 7 attacks – an increase of over 800%, according to the Center for Information and Documentation on Israel.
In March, pro-Palestinian protesters demonstrated outside the opening of a Holocaust museum in Amsterdam. President Isaac Herzog had attended the opening.
In April, a former hostage released from Hamas captivity was verbally abused by Dutch airport staff. In the same month, Dutch Rabbi Aryeh Leib Heintz told The Jerusalem Post that he was violently assaulted in an antisemitic incident in Utrecht.
More recently, Germany arrested a teenager being groomed to carry out an attack on Dutch Jews while on a school trip to Holland.

![]() Revealed: How Pro-Palestinian mob organised via WhatsApp to ‘Hunt Jews’ across AmsterdamFans of Maccabi Tel Aviv attacked before and after their team’s Europa League match against Ajax![]() Dutch police detain a man in Amsterdam after he had allegedly provoked Maccabi Tel Aviv supporters Credit: JEROEN JUMELET/Shutterstock Gordon Rayner Associate Editor. Connor Stringer Senior reporter
The most famous and revered stop on Amsterdam’s tourist trail is the four-storey house on the Prinsengracht canal where the diarist Anne Frank lived in hiding for two years.
Now a museum, it is one of Europe’s most powerful reminders of the Holocaust, with a near-sacred status as a memorial to Jews like Anne who were exterminated by the Nazis.
On Thursday night, a terrible echo of the “Jew hunts” that took place during the German occupation played out just a few hundred yards from Anne Frank’s House as Israeli football fans were pursued through the streets and attacked.
The parallels were too obvious to ignore, prompting the Dutch king to say his country had failed Jewish people just as it did during the Second World War.
A pro-Palestinian demonstration had coincided with a European football match between the Maccabi Tel Aviv, the Israeli side, and Ajax, the local team whose fans refer to themselves as the “Super Jews”. The result was as shaming as it was foreseeable. Amsterdam attacks
Videos posted on social media showed fans of the two teams being punched, kicked and humiliated as pro-Palestinian marchers shouted anti-Semitic slurs at them.
Now it has emerged that the attacks on the Jewish football fans were planned in advance and co-ordinated using WhatsApp and Telegram.
The Telegraph has seen messages from a group chat called Buurthuis, a Dutch word for a type of community centre, which were posted on Wednesday, the day before the match.
One message says: “Tomorrow after the game, at night, part 2 of the Jew Hunt.
“Tomorrow we work them.”
Another member of the group says: “Who can sort fireworks?” adding, “We need a lot of fireworks”. Participants refer to “cancer dogs”, a particularly vile insult in the Netherlands.
The previous day had some skirmishes, which the Jewish fans escaped by going into a local casino. One of the messages sent by the pro-Palestinians said: “They won’t go to the casino any more.”
Tensions had been running high before the match because Amsterdam was in the midst of a week of pro-Palestinian protests.
The demonstrators had wanted to protest at the Johan Cruyff Arena, home of Ajax, but Femke Halsema, the city’s mayor, ordered police to keep them a kilometre away from the stadium.
Some demonstrators tried to get to the stadium anyway but were stopped.
Police were given stop-and-search powers within areas deemed a security risk and riot police patrolled the streets. Yet, they failed to prevent violence that has attracted condemnations from around the world.
One piece of footage posted online shows a man who had jumped into a canal in a desperate attempt to escape his attackers.
As he thrashes around in the water, a pursuer shouts: “Say Free Palestine, and we’ll let you go,” and spits out a vile Dutch phrase that means “Cancer Jew”.
The person who posted the video on X commented: “This coward jumped into the canal, afraid of getting beaten.” It was accompanied by “crying with laughter” emojis.
Another video shows a man who appears unconscious on the street being repeatedly kicked as he lies in the fetal position.
A third film shows a young Israeli football fan cornered in a narrow alley where he ends up crouching on the floor. He begs for mercy but his assailants knock him out with a punch to the head.
There is little wonder why one Israeli diplomat described it as “a pogrom”.
Ben Myers, a British-Israeli living in Amsterdam, said injured football fans were rushed to safe houses by a group of Israeli men and women who mobilised on WhatsApp groups.
Mr Myers, who helped coordinate the rapid response, said the Jewish community had been failed by the Dutch police.
He added: “It really was a testament to the power of the women, organising a mini Dunkirk and getting Israelis to safety.
“There were definitely people being pushed into canals. They must have known it was going to kick off. One of the biggest gripes was the lack of police action. A lot of Israelis were saying they didn’t see police for hours.
“Even when they did, they were driving nonchalantly by. It was definitely a failure by the Dutch police to protect the football fans.”
Two Maccabi Tel Aviv fans, Aviv and Harel, told the Kan public broadcaster: “There was a police force standing on the side, not doing too much when there was some kind of protest. Each of us had been to the Netherlands four times; we had never felt like this before.”
Violence flared when a group gathered at the National Monument in Dam Square – the country’s cenotaph – started chanting pro-Palestinian slogans at passing Israeli fans.
One Maccabi Tel Aviv fan dressed in a blue and yellow dressing gown gestured at the protestors and shouted “f— you” and others joined in by shouting “f— you Palestine”.
Maccabi fans descending into the Amsterdam metro sang: “Let the IDF win, we will f—* the Arabs” and “f— you Palestine.”
What appeared to be a visiting fan was filmed being hoisted up to a first-floor window where he grabbed a Palestinian flag and tore it down.
Soon the football fans were being chased through the streets by locals.
The victims included a man wearing the yellow strip of Tel Aviv crouching on the ground as his attackers kicked him and shouted: “It’s for the children motherf——.”
“Please take all my money,” he responded in desperation, in a video posted on social media.
The attackers responded: “Free Palestine now.”
Further video footage showed a man being kicked to the ground as fireworks went off around him.
He was dragged along the street and then tried to escape as a pro-Palestinian assailant filmed the scene and said: “Now you know how it feels.”
He shouted: “That’s Gaza. That’s Palestine. That’s Gaza motherf—–.”
Others had narrow escapes.
Amit Amira, a Maccabi fan, said: “Three people approached me on the street and asked where I was from. I said, ‘Greece.’ One of them grabbed my hand and told me to show my ID. I pushed him away and went into the casino.
“We stood at the entrance to the casino, and no one wanted to help us. They told us, ‘Why did you come here?’ In the end, an Arab Israeli helped us. He said, ‘No one will mess with you. You’re with me.’ He ordered two taxis for us, and we escaped.”
Amsterdam was known as the Jerusalem of the West before the war because of its thriving Jewish population, many of whom supported Ajax, whose stadium was close to the Jewish quarter. Giant Israeli flags are a common sight at Ajax home games.
Today, Amsterdam also has a large Arab population, including more than 77,000 Moroccans who live in the Dutch capital.
In the aftermath of the attacks, many shaken and traumatised Maccabi fans said they were the victim of what some said were pre-planned attacks that could have ended in fatalities as they sought to leave the Netherlands on the first available flight.
One shaken Israeli woman who spoke to Dutch media NOS from Amsterdam’s Schipol airport: “It seems like it was organised. There were a lot of people. They saw everyone in yellow.
“They jumped on us. They stabbed people. They beat them. They did horrible things. We hid in the hotel until it was safe outside.”
Others said they would not return to Amsterdam and were even scared to take taxis to the airport for fear of being attacked by drivers, some of whom apparently took part in the clashes.
In all, five people were hospitalised and 62 were arrested, according to local police.
Rescue flights were sent to Amsterdam to get the Tel Aviv fans home safely. As one flight waited on the runway, passengers posted social media videos of everyone on the plane punching the air and shouting with relief.
Dozens of armed police officers stood guard at the check-in desk, cornered off passengers travelling on the last flight from Schiphol airport to Tel Aviv on Friday evening.
Outside, still wearing his navy Maccabi Tel Aviv tracksuit, Ofek Ziv’s voice begins to break as he recalls being ambushed by the pro-Palestinian mob.
The 27-year-old financial advisor was hit by a rock as he and other fans were attacked by a gang of ski-masked men.
He told The Telegraph: “We have been let down by the police and the country. They did nothing. I was frightened, I was in shock. It was a very intense moment because you don’t expect to get attacked in this country – they accept all cultures.”
The ambush echoed that of October 7, in which he lost a close friend, he said.
He added: “My friend was killed in Nova on October 7. It’s the same feeling today – you see all these people attacked without any help and you can do nothing.”

Conference of European Rabbis conference cancelled by Sarajevo, Bosnia
The cancellation follows an open letter written by the Federal Minister of Labour and Social Policy, Adnan Delic and published in the Bosnian press. “Sarajevo,” Federal Minister Delic writes, is a city of “openness and hospitality” and so should ban the European-Jewish event from its city.” He called “on the organisers to immediately cancel the conference in Sarajevo, and on all relevant institutions to prevent its realisation, and on citizens and civil society organisations not to remain silent in the face of this attempt to morally humiliate our capital and our country.” In his letter, he invoked harsh rhetoric against the State of Israel, declaring it a “genocidal entity” committing “shameful crimes against humanity.” Chief Rabbi Goldschmidt continued, “No other Bosnian Government official has contacted the Conference of European Rabbis. We have been made unwelcome and this last-minute, ministerial boycott of Jewish European citizens, dedicated to purely to promoting Jewish life in Europe and furthering dialogue and democracy across the continent, is disgraceful.” “CER events foster dialogue, boost interfaith activity, and promote public engagement. It is Sarajevo’s loss. We are delighted that the Bavarian Government will support our event’s relocation to Munich and we, as an organisation, will continue unfazed to be engaged supporting the Jewish communities of Europe.” “However, a wider question looms. This decision to block a European-Jewish conference on European soil is not only alarming, but also revealing. It is a clear violation of EU commitments and values (The Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union, Article 10 and 22; The European Council Declaration on Antisemitism, 2020). Bosnia and Herzegovina should certainly be cancelled and barred from accession to the European Union following this disgraceful castigation of a European faith group. Sarajevo has proclaimed itself a “city of openness and tolerance” for anyone but Jews.” ![]() Chief Rabbi Pinchas Goldschmidt-tweet-11June2025-Conference of European Rabbis conference cancelled by Sarajevo Bosnia

![]() Mamdani Wants Cops to Stop Responding to Attacks on JewsZohran Mamdani is preparing to enable a new wave of antisemitic violence.3August2025 by Daniel Greenfield
Jews are the victims of the majority of hate crimes, especially religious hate crimes, in New York City.
Zohran Mamdani, the radical Islamist and leftist terrorist supporter, has proposed that the NYPD not respond to hate crimes, instead that they be handled by social workers.
This is not simply police defunding, rather this shifts resources away from responding to attacks on Jews, moves away from having law enforcement deal with those attacks and instead has his political leftist allies ‘deal’ with them by burying them.
This isn’t just a pro-crime policy. It’s strategically calculated to protect members of his community who attack Jews while exposing Jews to religiously motivated assaults.
Zohran Mamdani is already building the infrastructure for enabling a new wave of antisemitic violence.

Islamists calling for more killing of Jews on the streets in the US
This is going to become the norm and Jewish people outside Israel has better get prepared for what’s coming. I called this many months ago, and now here we are. The next phase is going to be mass casualty massacres and terror attacks in the West. BACKGROUND

Antisemitic leaflets reading “Zionists leave Britain or be slaughtered” were recently dispersed in a London Jewish neighborhood, GB News reported on Wednesday.
“Zionists leave Britain or be slaughtered” was written in Hebrew on flyers that were distributed in Hendon, a highly Jewish-populated neighborhood, GBN reported.
Also reportedly written on the flyer was the phrase “Zionist free zone” in English.
“We are witnessing a troubling trend of red lines being repeatedly crossed,” Isaac Zarfati, the executive director of Stand With Us UK, told GBN. “This is not just another wave that will pass if we remain passive.”
“We must take those threats and statements seriously because one day they will turn into actions, and decisive steps are needed to combat this alarming phenomenon,” Zarfati added.
Trend of antisemitic flyers, statementsA similar incident occurred close by before Yom Kippur with statements like “F*** the Jew” and “Heil Hitler” as well as the swastika symbol being raked into bunkers (sand dunes) on the golf course of the Heldon Golf Club, GBN reported.
Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, commented on the golf course incident, stating that he was “sickened by the rise in antisemitism in our city. Hate crime is a criminal offense and has no place in London.” The GBN quoted the mayor.
The number of antisemitic hate crimes in London has more than doubled in the space of a year, according to figures put out by the London Metropolitan Police.

![]() Why young British Jews are leaving for IsraelThe vicious intolerance sweeping Europe is now impossible to ignore.Neil Davenport8December2024 https://www.spiked-online.com/2024/12/08/why-young-british-jews-are-leaving-for-israel/
For most British teenagers in their final year of A-levels, thoughts are now turning to choosing universities, attending open days and organising accommodation. But for a growing number of young British Jews, these familiar rites of passage are being replaced by more urgent concerns: joining the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) or volunteering in Israel.
The change in the priorities of young British Jews shows how much their world has changed since 7 October last year. First, Hamas’s brutal slaughter of civilians in Israel provided a horrifying wake-up call. And then the subsequent surge in anti-Semitism in Britain and Europe made it clear that many supposedly tolerant institutions are anything but.
‘I had always intended to join the IDF’, 17-year-old Thalia Cohen tells me. ‘But the events of 7 October solidified my decision. I want to help Israel defend itself and make sure something like that never happens again.’
Orli Miller completed her sixth-form studies this year. Visiting British university campuses since 7 October has transformed her view of the UK. ‘I visited one of the universities I’d applied to, and I was deeply unsettled by what I saw’, she recalls:
‘Posters of hostages taken by Hamas had been torn down. I realised this wasn’t an environment where I’d feel comfortable or supported. As a Zionist, I knew I’d be much happier in Israel, where I can align my actions with my beliefs without fear of judgement.’
Orli initially applied to serve in the IDF but was turned down on medical grounds. But rather than return to a university campus in the UK riddled with anti-Semitism, she chose to sign up for Sherut Leumi, Israel’s alternative national-service programme. Participants get to work in a wide range of areas, including healthcare, nursing homes and in disadvantaged communities.
That increasing numbers of young British Jews are now turning their backs on the UK university system provides a damning indictment of the vicious intolerance washing over campuses today. Universities were once regarded as sanctuaries of free thought and inclusivity. They have now become breeding grounds for hostility towards Jews. For Thalia and Orli, the message sent by universities is clear: all racism is condemned, apart from anti-Semitism.
Thalia has refused to shrink away. ‘People tell us to hide our religious symbols’, she says. ‘I take the opposite view – we should display them proudly. We should stand tall, proud of our religion, and proud of Israel.’
Both Thalia and Orli stress that Israel’s existence as a refuge for Jews is not merely symbolic – it’s also essential for their survival. ‘One of the tragic reasons so many Jews were murdered during the Holocaust was the absence of a place to escape to’, Orli tells me. ‘That’s why Israel matters. It’s the one place where Jews can find security, even though it’s constantly under threat. The need for a Jewish homeland has never been more urgent.’
Thalia agrees. Her family and friends support her decision to join the IDF, and some of her relatives are already serving as reservists. ‘I feel Jews should make this self-sacrifice – it is vital for Israel’s survival’, she says, before adding, ‘but it depends on how connected you are to Israel’.
Their sense of urgency is palpable. ‘Israel is under constant threat from terrorist groups that aim to destroy it’, says Orli. ‘Their weapons are becoming more sophisticated, and they are overwhelming our defence systems. To survive, we must fight back – and fight hard.’
The fallout from the 7 October atrocities has left scars. Orli lost friends, and one was kidnapped. Thalia describes the tense atmosphere in Israel:
‘When I visited in the summer, people were more nervous. You have to think about where to shelter if something happens. But there’s also a deep sense of unity. People are coming together to help each other.’
Recent attacks on Israeli Jews in Amsterdam have only added to their anxiety. It’s a grim reminder that Israel is not a ‘settler-colonial’ state – it is a refuge, a nation born from the ashes of persecution in Europe and the Middle East. For Israel to remain a safe haven, Jews must defend it – a stark reality that young people like Thalia and Orli understand all too well.
But this fight cannot fall solely on the shoulders of Jews. The growing anti-Semitism across Britain demands a response from those who claim to oppose bigotry in all its forms. Now is the time to send a clear message: Jews are not alone.

![]() LILLEY: Canadian officials make it clear, Jews not welcome hereThere’s are different set of rules for Jews in CanadaBrian Lilley
Are Jews being treated differently in Canada? Absolutely, and not in a good way.
From local police to the federal government, Jews are clearly not the chosen people of Canadian government officials.
Take the case of Rabbi Adam Scheier who was asked by police to leave downtown Montreal because he looked too Jewish and there was a pro-Hamas protest coming.
“The only thing I am guilty of is shopping in downtown Montreal … while wearing a kippah,” Scheier wrote in a Facebook post.
“The policeman explained to me that he was fearful of a ‘fire starting between the two sides.’ Apparently, my presence is deemed a sufficient provocation for removal, while their hateful chants are allowed to continue.”
Shouldn’t it be the job of the police to ensure the people who march through the streets belting out genocidal chants don’t start getting violent?
Nah, easier to make sure the guy who looks Jewish just leaves.
In Toronto, police have been protecting the pro-Hamas protests since they started their marches immediately after the Hamas terrorist attack on Israel on Oct. 7, 2023. They have allowed them to take over city streets at will without permits to block traffic and block street cars. At times they have even shut down major roads to pray in the middle of the street.Last Sunday, as a group of pro-Hamas types gathered at Bathurst St. and Sheppard Ave. W. – a predominantly Jewish neighbourhood – it was a Jew who was arrested.
When Ezra Levant of Rebel News tried to take his cameras to interview the folks waving placards celebrating Hamas – a protest that included a guy dressed like Yahya Sinwar, the recently killed mastermind of the terror attacks on Israel – it was Levant who was arrested.
Though released, Levant had been arrested for disturbing the peace. The people actually disturbing the peace by bringing a message that celebrated the killing of Jews into a Jewish neighbourhood were left alone.
There is even a photo of Toronto Police Staff-Sgt. Jeffery MacDuff sharing a chuckle with Ahmad Jarrar Hajahmad, a key organizer of many of the protests in the city and a backer of the encampments that took over university campuses in Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa last spring.
The message is clear, there are different rules for Jews in Canada.
Take the example of the Jewish National Fund, a charitable organization in Canada for over a century that had their charitable status revoked this past summer. The revocation came after an audit started in 2014 for charitable works that had taken place in 2011-12 and which had never been an issue in the past.
However, a sustained campaign against the group by anti-Israel, anti-Jewish activists pushed the Canada Revenue Agency to reconsider what was approved. Rather than working with JNF, which had never failed an audit before, the CRA pulled the organization’s status, and the issue is now being challenged in court.
It’s very different approach from the one taken by CRA after their audit of the Muslim Association of Canada determined the organization was working with the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and Syria. While the Muslim Brotherhood is not considered a terrorist group in Canada, documents obtained and reported on by Le Journal de Montreal show there was real concern.
CRA found that the Syrian group had asked MAC for financial assistance, including for weapons. The Brotherhood in Egypt has been tied to political violence.
“Even entities that are not considered terrorist in Canada can put a charity’s resources at risk of terrorist abuse if those entities are linked to violent ideologies,” say CRA documents obtained by Le Journal.
The reaction of CRA to these revelations and several others was simply to ask MAC to take corrective action and not associate with people or groups that may have links to terrorism or violent ideologies.
The difference in treatment could not be more stark and, like the police action, the message to Canada’s Jewish community from government officials could not be clearer. Add to that the attack on Kosher meat by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency after hundreds of years of being allowed in this country and you really see what is going on.
Canadian officials are making it clear, Jews aren’t welcome in Canada and they will harass you until you get the picture.
It’s sad and wrong but it is true.

The Jewish community in Australia is not safe.
The Australian Labor government has brought shame on Australia. For the first time ever the prestigious Simon Wiesenthal Center has issued a negative travel advisory on Australia for Jews the world over. Instead of learning the principles of Never Again, the govt actions and inactions which have facilitated a violent antisemitism crisis has brought us to Never Before. This is Labor’s legacy. ![]() Australian Jewish Association-tweet-12December2024-Simon Wiesenthal Center issued negative travel advisory on Australia
Confirmed torching of the large orthodox Jewish Adass synagogue in Melbourne. This is the flow on from the most hostile Federal government in Australia’s history to the Jewish community and the most anti-Israel. Since 9 October 2023, our political leaders and law enforcement have betrayed us – in terror supporting policies, on university campuses, on the streets and in the media. This attack is on an orthodox community, some might say ultra-orthodox. They are NOT known as being particularly Zionist. Just like the Opera House riot on 9 October (before Israel made any response), these campaign have always been about a hatred of Jews. And our governments response? Condemn Israel, give $millions to Hamas supporters locally and overseas, and import 1000s from terrorist controlled Gaza with minimal security checks. There used to be a wonderful country called Australia. Perhaps you remember it.
Wake up Australia. Your country is turning into a cesspool of Jew-hatred

The Fear, The Answer Aliyah
We got nasty stares, and looks of disgust. It was uncomfortable and sad—it didn’t used to be like that. As soon as we got to Israel, all of that melted away. The Israeli flags everywhere, waving proud. Israeli soldiers there to protect us. And a booming country fighting multiple wars with one arm tied behind her back. My son was expecting to walk into a war zone. To his surprise, we feel safer walking on the streets here than anywhere in the world. It makes me proud that a people rose from the ashes of the Holocaust and built this thriving country. Nobody will ever take it from us again. It’s so sad to see the ignorant hate this country gets, from people that have never been here before. I invite all the keyboard warriors who get their information from TikTok to get on a plane and experience the Holy Land for themselves. God Bless Israel.

Israel just FLIPPED the SCRIPT (Anti-Semites are FREAKING OUT!)For centuries, Jews were told, “You don’t belong.” From medieval expulsions to modern-day UN resolutions, the pattern has repeated again and again. But today, the target is not the Jew next door, but the Jewish state.
Israel innovation envoy Fleur Hassan-Nahoum uncovers the chilling parallels between history’s oldest hatred and today’s attacks on Israel. Why does the world hold Israel to impossible standards? Why is the Jewish state condemned more than the world’s worst dictatorships? And what does this continuity of lies and libels really reveal?
Most importantly, what has changed that ensures the Jewish people will never again be powerless?

![]() The Antisemitism tsunami: In defense of realityWhy Hillel Fuld Is right, and why it’s time we stop hiding behind feel-good illusions. Hillel Fuld is not spreading fear. He is sounding the alarm that far too many Jews refuse to hear. Opinion.Avi Abelow / 5August2025, 8:37 AM (GMT+3) https://www.israelnationalnews.com/news/412768
Let me be very clear: I love Chabad. I have deep respect the Rebbe zts”l and deeply appreciate the generations of shlichim who continue to inspire, educate, and awaken Jewish souls around the world.
But I must push back, firmly, on Rabbi Anchelle Perl’s recent critique of Hillel Fuld’s viral post warning about the rising tsunami of Jew-hating antisemitism and the existential threats facing the Jewish people in the West today.
Because while it’s noble to speak about light and redemption, it is dangerous to ignore darkness when it is actively trying to consume us. Hillel Fuld is not spreading fear. He is sounding the alarm that far too many Jews refuse to hear.
Yes, our purpose as Jews is far greater than merely surviving hatred, but let’s be honest: we are living through a global tsunami of Jew-hatred, unlike anything we’ve seen since the 1930s. What were once local blood libels whispered through medieval villages, or localized to Germany, are now broadcast in real time across the planet, trending on TikTok, justified by academics, and echoed by the so-called enlightened elites of the West.
Let’s stop pretending that the modern Jew-hating antisemitism we face today is just a passing storm. It is a strategically packaged, globalized blood libel, rooted in a fake national identity called “Palestine” created by the Soviet Union in the early 1960s, a propaganda campaign that has hijacked human rights language to justify murder, rape, and erasure of Jews.
And what makes this moment different from all others in Jewish history? For the first time in 2,000 years, we’re not stuck. We are no longer helpless. The gates are open. The Jewish people can go home, to Judea, to Samaria, to Jerusalem. The time has come to stop waiting for mashiach and start actively bringing mashiach with clarity: our future is not in exile. It’s in our homeland.
We are not here to merely survive antisemitism. But we will not overcome it by ignoring it either. We will overcome it by returning home, standing tall, reclaiming our destiny, and acting like a light unto the nations from our homeland.
Rabbi Perl then claims that “this isn’t the 1930s”. Correct, this Is worse than 1930s Germany. Because This Time, We are back as sovereign in our own StateThe Rebbe may have taught that we’re not in exile like we used to be. But we now live in a paradox: we have a Jewish state, and yet too many Jews are still behaving as if we don’t.
No, the modern State of Israel may not yet be the ideal Jewish state we’ve dreamed of — but that’s largely because, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, most religious leaders chose to sit out the return to our homeland, leaving the task to secular pioneers. We handed over the wheel and then wondered why the ship wasn’t heading exactly where we wanted.
If you want Israel to become a truly Jewish state — not just in name, but in soul and substance — there’s only one answer: more committed, values-driven Jews must come home and help shape it. Don’t complain from afar. Come take part. That’s how we turn Israel into the Jewish state it was meant to be.
This Isn’t the 1930s — It’s Worse, Because This Time, We Can Come HomeLet’s be clear: this isn’t 1930s Germany. It’s worse — because this time, we have a Jewish state, and yet far too many are still choosing exile. Today, Jews aren’t trapped. There are no locked gates. The doors of our homeland are wide open — and still, millions cling to the illusion that the West will protect them as antisemitism grows louder, uglier, and more mainstream by the day.
And where are our rabbis and educators? Where is the leadership calling the Jewish people home — not just to escape the hate, but to fulfill our Divine mission?
The Torah is clear. The Prophets are clear. G-d didn’t scatter us so we could build comfortable lives in Paris, London, or Long Island. He scattered us so we would return — transformed, awakened, and ready to live as a nation in our land, bringing morality and truth to the world. That’s not a Zionist slogan — it’s the Bible.
For 2,000 years we survived exile because we had no choice. But now we do. Now we have a land, a language, a government, an army — and a mission. And yet too many of our rabbis keep teaching Judaism as if we’re still wandering, as if the words of Isaiah and Ezekiel were metaphors, not marching orders.
This moment demands clarity. We’re not meant to hide in exile and hope things get better. We’re meant to return home and make things better — for ourselves, for our children, and for all humanity.
Anything less is a failure of leadership. Rabbi Perl then says that Jewish Pride Is the answer to Jewish fear. Correct. But the Rabbi is Ignoring the natural state of Jewish pride. One can wear a kippah in New York or wave an Israeli flag in London, but true, unshakable Jewish pride is rooted in one place, the Land of Israel. Here, it’s in the air, even among a population that is largely not religious because it is a natural, effortless Jewish identity. Because this is our home, the only place on earth where being Jewish is the norm, not the exception.
Israel is the natural habitat for the Jew. It’s not a refuge from Jew-hating antisemitism, it’s the answer to assimilation. If you want your children to grow up proud of who they are, not apologetic or confused, then bring them home. In Israel, Jewish pride isn’t something you have to teach, it’s something they breathe.
Yes, light the menorah in the public square. But let’s not kid ourselves, public menorahs are not going to stop genocidal Islamonazi jihad. Acts of kindness won’t remove the growing Jew-hatred on college campuses.
You know what will? Jewish strength. Jewish sovereignty. Jewish leadership.
Hillel Fuld is right to say the world is closing in. But he’s also right to point to the solution: We need to return to who we are. Not just spiritually, but nationally. That means unapologetically asserting our rights, not in Brooklyn, Lakewood, Los Angeles or Boro Park, but in Beit El, in Hebron, in Gaza, and yes, on the Temple Mount.
Because the real answer to Jew-hating antisemitism is not hiding behind spiritual platitudes. The answer is Jewish power with purpose in our homeland, as ordained by Hashem himself.
Redemption Requires ActionYes, Moshiach is coming. But not because we sit around and manifest it with good vibes. Moshiach comes when the Jewish people stand up, proud, sovereign, rooted in truth, and lead the world with moral clarity from Jerusalem.
That’s what Hillel was doing. He wasn’t predicting doom. He was warning the blind that the train is coming and that the tracks lead to Jerusalem. The only way forward is through Jewish awakening, Jewish leadership, and Jewish return.
So to those who dismiss the warnings because they make you uncomfortable, I say: Wake up. The world is changing. The war is here. And we can either lead or be led to slaughter.
Choose to lead.
I’ve spoken with countless rabbis who proudly tell me their role in their communities is to be the captain of the ship, to inspire their communities, to keep their Judaism alive in exile, to steady the waters. But here’s the truth: it’s no longer enough to steer the ship. It’s time to dock it. The next step, the essential step, is to guide their flock home.
Because the purpose of Judaism was never to survive in exile. The purpose is to return, rebuild, and fulfill the mission we were given, in the land we were promised. And any spiritual leadership that stops short of that is not leading us to our destiny. It’s time for our rabbis, and all of us, to recognize that the journey doesn’t end with Jewish pride in exile.
It ends in Jerusalem. It ends in sovereignty. It ends in us actively bringing redemption by coming home.
Am Yisrael Chai.

A Jew in Hollywood, Serve your own ambition or your people?
Nearly 40% of Hannah’s classmates were either Persian Jewish refugees or the children of refugees who fled the Islamic Regime. Unlike Hannah, who grew up in the nepo baby bubble of her mother’s SNL career, her Persian classmates didn’t come from privilege. Their parents, like mine, lost everything — homes, businesses, careers, even family members — all for the chance to live free as Jews. These families had to rebuild their lives from nothing after fleeing religious persecution in Iran. But instead of recognizing the lived experience of the refugee kids she grew up with — kids who welcomed her into their homes, shared birthdays, sat beside her in English class and laughed at her jokes at the lunch table — Hannah erased their history from the narrative altogether. And that is what makes Hannah Einbinder such a performative fraud. To posture at the Emmys as a self-proclaimed “savior of the oppressed,” while dismissing the trauma and oppression experienced by her Persian Jewish friends — this isn’t ignorance. It’s opportunism from a morally bankrupt sellout desperate for accolades. Because the truth is this: without Israel, most Jewish refugees, like my family, have nowhere to go. This was true in 1948, it was true when my parents fled Iran, and it remains true today. For Persian Jews, Israel is not an abstract idea — it’s the insurance policy of our continued survival. My parents settled in America, yes. But it took years for most of my family to obtain a visa and find their way here. In fact, the vast majority of Jewish refugees fleeing Iran had nowhere to go but Israel — the same Jewish state Hannah wants to sever from Judaism itself. And if America had closed its doors, as it did during the Holocaust? If Israel had not existed? Over 100,000 Persian Jews would still be trapped in Iran — prisoners of the Islamic Regime — with no rights, no future, and none of the freedoms Hannah so easily takes for granted. Hannah knows this truth. When she condemned Israel at the Emmys, she wasn’t just another misguided celebrity with a platform. She was someone who grew up in a community full of marginalized Persian Jewish refugees and chose to render them invisible. Someone who knew—firsthand—that the exile and displacement of Jewish people didn’t end with the Holocaust, yet still pushed the lie that Israel’s existence and Jewish survival are mutually exclusive. And with that, Hannah Einbinder revealed herself as just another Hack: erasing Jewish suffering, spitting on it, cashing it in, and selling her betrayal as activism.

![]() Never Again, Forever!Peloni Image via Instagram It is important to grasp that the expectations listed above are exclusively reserved for the Jewish people, and this fact demonstrates the subtle, and not so subtle, seduction with which the world imbibes and promotes Jew Hatred around the world.
Too long has Israel been locked into capitulating to these expectations, but the barbarism, brutality and betrayals which were exposed by October 7 ended this fatal addiction. As the world pretends that Israel is the author of her own tragedies, it betrays the oath previously captured in the phrase Never Again, which is why the real guarantor of that immortal promise to the Jewish people could only be the Jewish people themselves. In fact, the very real absurdities captured in this meme demonstrates both the basis for and the creation of the Zionist movement which led to the reconstitution of the ancient state of Israel in the Jewish heartlands on which it stands today. While we have many friends around the world to whom we are indebted and whose friendship is both welcome and vital, the responsibility for the survival of we Jews stand with the Jews. The agency which empowers Jews to act in their own interests is due to the existence of the Jewish state and its unified purpose of proving that ‘Never Again’ is not simply a virtue signaling slogan to be used by elitist academics on any subject they care to employ it. Indeed, ‘Never Again’ is in fact the way of life for the Jewish people to survive and to thrive amidst the efforts we face in every generation, efforts to both destroy us and to add to the list of calamities which are recalled each year in the observance of Tisha B’av. Never Again, forever! Am Yisrael Chai!!!

![]() Israel moves to bolster self-sufficiency amid wave of arms embargoes“In the whole area of munitions and spare parts, we can be much more independent,” IDF Maj. Gen. (res.) Yaakov Amidror told JNS.David Isaachttps://www.jns.org/israel-moves-to-bolster-self-sufficiency-amid-wave-of-arms-embargoes/
(9September2025 / JNS) The rise in arms embargoes due to the ongoing war in Gaza has prompted Israel’s government to establish a new “Munitions Directorate” to develop recommendations to reduce Israel’s dependency on foreign countries for military supplies.
“We decided, and it was part of the recommendation of a special committee which was nominated to deal with the defense budget, that Israel will minimize its dependence on others,” IDF Maj. Gen. (res.) Yaakov Amidror, senior fellow at the Jerusalem Institute for Strategy and Security (JISS), told JNS.
A former national security adviser to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Amidror noted, “We will never produce something like F-35 fighters or submarines. But in the whole area of munitions and spare parts, we can be much more independent.”
IDF Brig. Gen. (res.) Amir Avivi, founder of the Israel Defense and Security Forum (IDSF), told JNS: “There is a very clear understanding now that we need to be as self-sufficient and independent as possible, as much as we can and in every single respect, from advanced munitions to parts and, of course, energy.”
The creation of the new directorate was ordered by Netanyahu and Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz, spurred by embargo actions undertaken by countries traditionally considered its closest allies, including the United Kingdom, Canada and Italy.
Slovenia went further than most. In July, it became the first European Union country to implement a full embargo, banning the import and export of arms to Israel, including their transit across its territory. Spain, whose socialist government has staked out a hardline position against Israel, is deliberating a sweeping ban of its own, according to El País.
More serious is that Germany, which accounted for 30% of Israel’s arms imports from 2019–2023, halted any exports that “may be utilized in the Gaza Strip,” Chancellor Friedrich Merz said in August.
Arms embargoes are not new in Israel’s history. At its birth in 1948, Israel faced an arms embargo from the United States. Two decades later, on the eve of the Six-Day War, France—then Israel’s principal arms supplier—imposed its own embargo.
In 2014, during “Operation Protective Edge,” the Obama administration refused Israel arms. “Ten years ago, we had terrorists popping up from tunnels inside Israel. The U.S. wouldn’t give us weapons. And I remember the shock in the defense establishment,” said Avivi, noting that war wasn’t a matter of conquering Gaza, but of destroying terror tunnels, “and they still didn’t give us weapons.”
At the time, Avivi served as the chief auditor of the Israeli defense establishment. “I audited the ability of our industries to produce what we need,” he recalled, noting his audit painted a “terrible” situation.
Amidror conceded that Israel’s vulnerabilities were, in part, self-inflicted: “There were some production lines that we shut down because, economically, it was not wise to continue. But now we understand that it creates a weak point that might be exploited by other countries. So we will resume our ability to produce those in Israel.”
Another reason Israel’s dependency grew deeper over time was a decision by then-U.S. President Barack Obama to forbid Israel from converting U.S. aid dollars into shekels. That rule change forced Israel to move more production lines to American soil. “Our dependency grew dramatically,” said Avivi.
The consequences became stark in the opening days of the current war. “We were in very grave danger at the beginning with lack of munitions and parts,” said Avivi. “The industry and the minister of defense were forced to become creative in finding solutions. It affected the pace of war and our capabilities. It cost lives.”
For Avivi, the failure to prepare adequate supplies is as grave as the intelligence lapses that enabled Hamas’s Oct. 7, 2023 attack. “We have to ask: why didn’t we learn the lesson already in 2014? Why didn’t we invest in our industry? Why didn’t we buy more munitions?”
To rectify the situation is straightforward, according to Amidror. “Identify the most important elements that we needed but didn’t have enough of, or we didn’t produce, and make sure that we have enough of it,” he said. “If we can produce it in Israel, make sure that we will produce it. If we don’t produce it by ourselves, put enough of it in storage.”
Avivi agreed that those were the two options. Either build domestic production lines or ensure sufficient stockpiles. While he said that there was no right answer, domestic production offers advantages in terms of revenues and jobs. “Eighty percent of our industries’ military production is for export,” he noted.
For Avivi, the challenge is not just weapons but also energy. He pointed to the Bazan Oil Refineries in Haifa Bay, which were critical to producing numerous fuels, everything from diesel to a special formula used by drones. Bazan was continually a target of Iran during the 12-day war in June, proving its strategic importance, he said.
Despite this, there are still people in Israel’s government who want to close it. They want to put up houses in its place, he said. An Israel Hayom story on Monday featured residents living near the refinery calling for Bazan’s closure precisely because it is a target for missiles, as well as pollutes the area.
Asked whether Israel could retaliate against embargoing countries, Avivi said Israel supplies vital intelligence to these countries, which has saved them time and again from terrorist attacks. It could threaten to withhold that intelligence, he said.
Amidror emphasized that the new directorate’s mandate is narrowly focused: “This committee addresses the decision of Israel to be less dependent on others in the area of munitions and spare parts. Energy and diplomacy are something else. It’s not connected to this committee.”
“We have learned a lot,” he added. “Israel is already producing many things it didn’t produce before the embargoes.”

Never Again will we leave our fate in the hands of others
When the evidence shows that all these accusations are false, how has half the planet allowed itself to be brainwashed so easily by the largest psychological propaganda campaign in human history? How have the very institutions entrusted to educate our children been allowed to deliberately and maliciously manipulate, invert, and destroy history and truth? Everything that has happened since October 7 has been well funded, well choreographed, well planned, well coordinated and well executed. If history teaches us anything, it’s that however bad we think things are today after 14 months of this, this is still just the beginning. Things are going to get worse. Much worse. When the Nazi Party first rose to power, they too tried to downplay antisemitism. Their entire propaganda machine stated that it was just anti communism. And it spread until Hitler took over as chancellor and Hindenburg died. And it’s at that point, four years later, that the real intention came out and the masks came off. But by then, it was too late. Millions were slaughtered. Millions suffered. And like today, the world stood by and watched and did nothing. The greatest human tragedy of the 20th century unfolded in front of our eyes and the world was silent. And today, the wave of Jew hatred and propaganda is infinitely worse, more widespread, more toxic and more dangerous. And, like then, the world is watching it unfold in front of their eyes and simply stay silent. The consequences we can’t even imagine. But what we can assure you is that it doesn’t matter what is said, what is threatened, what UN resolution is passed, or how large this wave will still grow, we as the Jewish people will never allow ourselves to simply be massacred by this hate. Things are different now in 2024 only in that we will fight to the end. We will never allow our people to meet the same fate as many of our ancestors did back in the 1930’s. We will fight to the death, and like it or not, it won’t be our death. We will survive this as we survived every time before it. You can stand with us, or you can stand against us. But regardless, we will win this war.

![]() Fueled by fear and fraternity, foreigners start buying up Israeli homes, just in caseWith antisemitism on the rise and many wanting to be more involved in Israel, property acquisitions by non-residents are surging, especially in Beit Shemesh and JerusalemBy Shoshanna Solomon

Earlier this year, with the country still at war in Gaza and recovering from the shock of the October 7 attack, Marc and Yael Azran bought an apartment in Beit Shemesh, a city of some 175,000 situated in the hill country about 30 kilometers (18.5 miles) west of Jerusalem.
The Azrans, who live in Silver Spring, Maryland, a suburb of Washington, DC, closed the deal in March. Since then the family has spent the Passover and Sukkot holidays in their second home, despite the continuing threat of rocket and missile attacks on Israel from Iran-backed groups in Gaza, Lebanon and around the region.
Buying a property in Israel was always a dream for the Azrans. Both had spent time in Israel on youth programs as teenagers, and when they married, they lived in Israel for a while. The idea was to someday return, said Marc Azran.
The push came after the October 7 events, he said, because the couple felt the need to “be connected” and support Israel, he said. Though they continue to live in the US, they now have a home to visit in Israel, and hope to eventually move there.
“I feel like it’s time for the Jewish people to be in Israel, and I want to be part of that destiny, and I want my children to be part of that destiny,” Azran said over the phone as he drove to his job where he works as an anesthesiologist. “I do not feel that there is a bright future for Jews in America and in Europe, in the long term.”
According to official figures, the Azrans are just one of hundreds of foreign residents who have snapped up homes in Israel since the start of fighting some 15 months ago. By all appearances, the trend is being driven by Jewish buyers who want to enhance their connection with the Jewish state, and by fears of rising antisemitism around the globe, which outweigh concerns about the threat of war or terrorist violence.
![]() Marc Azran, left, Yael Azran, second left, and their three children at their second home in Beit Shemesh in October 2024. (Courtesy: Jeff Kalwerisky.) Antisemitic incidents have surged around the world since Hamas’s October 7, 2023, attack on Israel, in which terrorists from the Gaza Strip invaded and killed some 1,200 people, took 251 hostages and triggered the ongoing war there.
According to data published in November by the Finance Ministry, foreign residents in September acquired 254 apartments in Israel, a sharp increase of 119 percent compared to September last year, and the highest level of acquisitions since July 2022, when the market was infused with post-COVID optimism and a lower tax rate.
Home purchases by foreigners dropped steeply in October 2023 in the wake of the attack and war, official figures show, but quickly rebounded, reaching pre-war levels by December. They mostly continued to rise throughout the year before the September surge.
“After October 7, for one month, there was nothing…. It was dead, nobody was calling,” said Donny Fein, a real estate agent who owns the Elite Israel Realty firm which focuses on the Beit Shemesh area. “It took about three or four weeks, [and then] the phones did not stop ringing.”
Fein should know, Beit Shemesh and the larger Jerusalem area are ground zero for the resurgent foreign buyer phenomenon, making up over half the properties purchased by foreigners in September. In Beit Shemesh alone, 87 apartments were purchased by non-residents in September, outstripping even the capital despite being less than a fifth of its size.
A Brooklyn native who immigrated to Israel, Fein said some customers had bought homes in Israel without ever visiting them in person. The buyers aren’t necessarily looking for their dream home, but rather to have a safe haven in their back pocket should trouble strike and they need to flee, he said. Until then, the foreign owners generally rent out their units on short-term leases of two years or less, to keep their options open.
“They call it the Mashiach clause,” Fein said, making joking reference to the messianic yearning for Israel deeply ingrained in Jewish Orthodox theology. While standard contracts in Israel contain no such clause accounting for the possibility of divine salvation, it’s an idea in the back of many buyers’ minds, according to Fein.

(AP Photo/Jose Luis Magana) “They know that they’re not making Aliyah anytime soon, but if they have to, if the Nazis come knocking on the door, they have a place to go,” he said. “This is not 1939 anymore. We have a home in Israel, and we have a place to come to. This is what they say.”
Foreign home purchases in Israel are nothing new, and even with the surge in September, levels remain far below their 2005 high, when some 1,400 homes were sold to foreigners in a single fiscal quarter. But many in Israel also see the purchases as a scourge, taking properties off a market where demand already exceeds supply and driving prices higher. Foreign acquisitions in luxury complexes are also often kept as vacation homes rather than being rented out, turning whole buildings in prime locations into dimly lit shells for much of the year.
![]() Builders working on the Mamilla luxury apartments, situated across from David’s Village, both considered to be part of Jerusalem’s “ghost apartments.” (photo credit: Rebecca Zeffert/Flash 90) But since October 7, experts believe the purchases are being fueled by the same antisemitism fears driving immigration to Israel even as war rages.
According to data published by the Aliyah and Integration Ministry and the Jewish Agency, some 31,000 new immigrants came to Israel from around the world between September 2023 and September 2024. Most of the immigrants were from Russia, North America, France, Ukraine, Belarus and Britain, the figures show.
The city that absorbed the most immigrants was Netanya, followed by Tel Aviv, Haifa, Jerusalem, Bat Yam, and Ashdod.
![]() New immigrants from France arrive on a special “Aliyah Flight” at Ben Gurion Airport in central Israel on August 1, 2024. (Tomer Neuberg/Flash90) According to the Finance Ministry, foreign purchases of homes in Tel Aviv remain near record-low levels. But Netanel Shuchner, the CEO of real estate firm RMA-ET, said his company has seen a sharp rise in demand from foreign residents for homes in Israel, mainly in Tel Aviv and Ra’anana.
Many of the prospective buyers are from the US and France, and Shuchner predicted even more people would also begin looking for homes in Israel following a wave of anti-Jewish and anti-Israel violence that rocked Amsterdam when the Maccabi Tel Aviv soccer team visited for a match.
“Following the recent events in Amsterdam I expect we will see a further rise in demand,” said Shuchner, who is also a lecturer in economics and real estate valuations at the College of Management Academic Studies.
A Times of Israel report on November 28 pointed to “unprecedented” interest in immigration to Israel among Dutch Jews following the attacks on Israeli fans and others.
David, a Jewish lawyer who lives in West Hempstead, New York, with his family, also acquired a home in Beit Shemesh some six months ago.
The house is rented for two years, and the idea is to eventually use it as a vacation home, said David, who asked that his real name not be used because of privacy concerns.
“We are not moving yet,” he added, though it could happen in a couple of years.
The timing of the acquisition was related to the outbreak of the war, David said, although the family had been planning to buy something in Israel for a long time.
“The war made us feel like it’s time to buy something,” he said by phone. While rising antisemitism in the US was not a driving factor, he admitted it may have played a role as he and his wife decided on the purchase. “It is not a conscious thing, but it definitely was in the back of our minds.”
Whatever the pull, it is strong enough to motivate buyers to pay above-market prices in order to have a home in Israel rather than anywhere else, Fein noted. He called it an “emotional premium.”
“People always said to me it’s not safe in Israel, but I always said at least in Israel we know who your enemies are,” he said. “In America, you could be walking down some random street and some crazy guy who hates Jews can literally just knock you out.”

![]() You made us into the people you now resent.Unknown Author 15April2025 Photo By ThatGuyWithNoName2 – Own work, CC0
You say we run the banks. You say we run Hollywood. You say we control the media. You say we have too much influence, too much power, too much pride.
But you never ask why.
So let me tell you.
We were banned from owning land, so we learned to make a living with our minds. While others built legacies on soil and serfdom, we built ours in scholarship and study. We became merchants, financiers, physicians, and philosophers — not because we craved gold, but because the ground was never ours to till.
We were denied entry into universities, so we opened our own schools and studied twice as hard. Our emphasis on education didn’t arise from privilege; it arose from exclusion.
In the shtetls of Eastern Europe and the ghettos of Western Europe, the Torah was our textbook, and Talmudic reasoning became our discipline. When others mocked us for being bookish, we turned the insult into armor.
You pushed us into ghettos and restricted us from guilds and professions. So we turned to what was left: entertainment, garment work, trade, and storytelling. In America, barred from many “respectable” jobs, we went west and helped invent Hollywood — not to brainwash, but to dream. To create magic from nothing. To tell our stories because no one else would.
You say we run the banks, but we never asked for that job either. In medieval Europe, the Church banned Christians from lending money with interest, calling it a sin — usury.
But kings and nobles still needed loans, and someone had to do the collecting. So they turned to the Jews, already considered impure, already despised. Tax collection, moneylending, and finance were viewed as “dirty work,” so who better to assign it to than the “dirty” Jew?
And so we became moneylenders not by ambition, but by force. We were squeezed for every coin we could collect, and then, when the debts mounted or the crown no longer needed us, we were expelled, or worse.
Our financial roles were used as justification for persecution, pogroms, and blood libels. Yet we survived. We learned. We built an understanding of money because we had no other choice. And centuries later, you turned around and said, “Look how greedy they are!”
You say we stole the land from others — but you forget where we came from. Jews lived across the Arab and Muslim world for centuries — not as equals, but as dhimmis. Second-class citizens. Tolerated, not accepted. Protected, but humiliated.
We had to pay special taxes just to exist. We weren’t allowed to build homes taller than those of our Muslim neighbors. We had to step aside in the streets, lower our gaze, and never, ever forget our place.
Sometimes we were left in peace. Other times, our synagogues were torched, our women assaulted, our children taken, our lives uprooted. And when the State of Israel was born, nearly a million Jews were expelled or forced to flee from Arab lands — stripped of their property, their citizenship, and their dignity.
From Baghdad to Cairo, from Tripoli to Damascus, Jewish communities that had lasted for millennia vanished almost overnight. No United Nations agency was created for those Jewish refugees. No global “right of return” was demanded. We didn’t hang our trauma like a weapon; we used it to build.
Many of the Mizrahi Jews you see in Israel today are the grandchildren of those who lost everything — but finally found something greater: a home that would fight for them.
You say we’re tribal. But you forget that we tried to integrate. We tried to blend in. We changed our names, straightened our curls, even abandoned our faith.
But no matter how much we tried, you reminded us we were Jews. So we turned inward and leaned on each other. We built communities where we were locked out. Synagogues where we were barred from churches. Hospitals when we weren’t welcome in yours. Organizations to defend ourselves when no one else would.
You say we’re too successful. But success was our only security. When pogroms came, we needed money to flee. When quotas blocked our children, we needed influence to open doors. When no nation would have us, we built our own — Israel — so we’d never again rely on the mercy of foreign powers.
We are accused of dual loyalty, but loyalty to what? To a world that burned us or stood by while we burned? Our loyalty is to each other because history taught us that no one else would be.
You hate that Israel exists. Not because of its policies. Not because of land. You hated us before 1948, before a single border was drawn. What you hate is that the Jew now has power. A standing army. A government. A home. You preferred us weak, wandering, dependent on your pity — or your permission to live. Israel is the ultimate Jewish response to 2,000 years of homelessness, humiliation, and massacre.
You hate that we don’t ask permission anymore. That we don’t wait for the world’s sympathy to defend ourselves. You hate that we build, we innovate, we revive ancient languages and make deserts bloom. You hate that Jewish self-determination is real, and thriving, and permanent.
And here’s what scares you the most: Israel is not a reaction to the Holocaust; it is the insurance policy against the next one. It is the place where “Never Again” isn’t just a slogan; it’s a security doctrine. It’s F-16s, Iron Dome, and boys and girls in olive green who won’t go quietly.
You hate that Israel exists because it means the Jew is no longer at your mercy, and you hate that Israel is strong. But what did you expect? That the people you scattered, ghettoized, and slaughtered would build a weak country? That a nation born from Holocaust ashes would vow “Never Again” — and not mean it?
You hate that Zionism has been the most successful decolonization project, perhaps ever. While nations all over the world were casting off foreign rule, one ancient people did the impossible: We returned home after 2,000 years in exile. Not to conquer someone else’s land, but to reclaim our own.
Zionism was never about imperialism; it was about ending the longest colonization in history, the displacement of Jews from their indigenous homeland. We are indigenous to the Land of Israel. Our language was born there. Our prophets walked there. Our ancestors prayed there facing Jerusalem, not Paris, not Warsaw.
We didn’t “colonize” the land; we revived it. We built a state not on conquest, but on return. And we did it while surrounded by enemies, embargoed by the world, and mourning our murdered millions.
You celebrate decolonization — until the Jew does it. You want every people to rise — except us.
And then came October 7th. You showed us, again, exactly why we need Israel. You showed us what happens when Jews are vulnerable. What happens when we let our guard down. What happens when we believe that hatred has an expiration date.
On October 7th, the mask fell. Hamas didn’t target soldiers. They targeted babies. Grandmothers. Festival-goers. Peace activists. Holocaust survivors.
They raped, mutilated, burned, and broadcasted it to the world. And while we searched for our kidnapped children and buried our dead, the world gathered to chant, not against terror — but against us.
You held up signs that said, “By any means necessary.” You justified the slaughter with words like “resistance.” You turned our grief into your celebration.
October 7th wasn’t just a massacre; it was a revelation. It reminded us that no amount of assimilation, no level of success, no Nobel Prizes, no peace treaties, and no hashtags will protect us if we cannot protect ourselves.
We now live in a post- October 7th world. A world where Jews are done apologizing. Done seeking your approval. Done believing that if we just explain ourselves better, you’ll stop hating us.
We now know, without a doubt, that the world’s memory is short, but ours is long.
We are a people who carry both trauma and tenacity. We are the children of refugees who became warriors. The descendants of Holocaust survivors who became state-builders. The grandchildren of exiles who came home.
You tried to destroy us on October 7th. Instead, you reminded us who we are.
Here’s the irony you refuse to see: It was your hatred that made us this way. You forced us out of your professions, so we mastered the ones you didn’t want. You shut us out of your elite institutions, so we built better ones. You isolated us, so we built our own networks. You called us weak, so we became strong. You wanted us poor and powerless — and in trying to keep us there, you gave us every reason to rise.
Antisemitism didn’t stop Jewish success. It caused it. You wanted us out of your world. We built a new one. And now you complain it’s thriving.
So yes, we are proud. Yes, we are successful. Yes, we are influential. But none of it came easy. Every Jewish triumph stands atop centuries of exile, scapegoating, genocide, and resilience. We became strong because you gave us no other choice.
You made us into the people you now resent.
And we’re not sorry

The Reason Hitler Didn’t Use the Atom Bomb – Daily Shiur by Rabbi Eliezer Berland Shlit”aBy David Simcha – 11June2025 https://ravberland.com/the-reason-hitler-didnt-use-the-atom-bomb-daily-shiur-by-rabbi-eliezer-berland-shlita/
Here is a summary of the Daily Shiur that was given by Moreinu HaRav Eliezer Berland shlit”a on Thursday, the night of 10 Sivan, Parashat Naso, after Ma’ariv:In another four and a half hours, it will be midnight of Motza’ei Shabbat. We’re going to the Kotel right after Melaveh Malka. The Rav will arrive at the Kotel after a half an hour. We will recite seven Tikkun HaKlali’s from 11:30 PM to 12:30 AM. Everyone will be able to see the Rav.
Einstein used to study all the material during bein hazmanim (the breaks from learning season), so when classes resumed, all that was left for him to do was to throw peels at the teachers. So the principal came up with a solution: that Einstein had pneumonia and needed to travel to the Alps in Switzerland to recover. He invented the atom. You need to reduce uranium from 238 to 235. Through reduction, anything can be transformed — copper into iron, lead into gold. Chovot HaLevavot (Duties of the Heart) says: stop claiming that you can turn lead into gold. One should learn Chovot HaLevavot every day. But there were some who knew the formula to turn iron into gold — by adding protons from 23 to 59. Madame Curie really discovered the secret of the atom.
A woman always knows more than a man. It’s written that Bruria learned in one day what would normally take three years to study. And she learned even more: in the distance from Etzel to Etzel, 300 camels loaded with holy books that were hidden. A woman can learn in seconds what it takes a man to learn in a year.
If Hitler were alive today, he’d be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize — for killing the Jews. The miracle was that Hitler refused to use the atom. He said that since a Jew touched it, it was forbidden to use it. An eighth of a gram of atomic material was dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and 70,000 were instantly turned to dust, 70,000 died within the following week, and over the next three years, 300,000 more died from burns, etc. So the one who discovered the atomic formula was Madame Curie. Gold is 79, copper is 82, and uranium is 92. Over 90 years, it decays down to 82. So they wanted to reduce uranium by another three so that it would be gold material — 79.
So, everyone is going to the Kotel on Motza’ei Shabbat. After that, everyone should return home and say Tehillim. Each person should learn Sotah 23b, and also Divrei HaYamim regarding the matter of “Goren Kidon” — whereas in Shmuel, it’s written “Goren Nachon.” Now the men aren’t sleeping. The boys should learn ten pages of Gemara. And each person should learn with his wife about the blessing over fruit. It comes out, based on the calculation, that if there are ten girls, the girl receives more than the boy. Girls always get double in everything.
Now there were 24 hostages alive. One was released — 23 remained. In the meantime, three more died, so 20 are left. We need to bring food to the hostages. And each person should learn the Gemara in Ketubot where it discusses how Moshe did not know the law that a daughter inherits. The answer is that Moshe thought [that the father] was part of Korach’s assembly, and those who were in Korach’s assembly did not receive an inheritance. This is what the daughters said, that their father was not part of Korach’s assembly — rather, he died due to his own sin.

![]() With “Progressivism First,” the ADL shows its true colorsDefending or protecting American Jews isn’t one of them. Opinion.Douglas Altabef / 22August2025, 10:07 AM (GMT+3) https://www.israelnationalnews.com/news/413690
The recent decision by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), once seen as a vaunted protector of the American Jewish community, to add “America First” to its Glossary of Extremism and Hate is no mere exercise in sanctimony or virtue signaling.
This unbelievably wrong-headed, ill-considered and insensitive decision sends the worst kind of messages, especially to those with who the American Jewish community is in most need of dialog and mutual understanding: American conservatives, particularly, America First MAGA conservatives.
To the extent that the ADL is still viewed as a proxy for American Jewish sensibilities, this decision must be seen as an angry gauntlet thrown down, whereby Jews are challenging the very legitimacy of a movement that is attracting millions of Americans, particularly young Americans.
What is that attraction based on? Well actually rather little having to do with the guilt-by-association feelings of the ADL that America First harkens back to Charles Lindbergh and Father Coughlin. America First in the 1930’s was a wrapping for a racist, bigoted and xenophobic movement that mirrored much of the racial supremacy hysteria that had overtaken a great portion of Europe.
By contrast, America First today is a reaction to a society where the gaps between haves and have nots has grown, and where young people increasingly fear that the policies of the Federal government are leaving them behind.
One of the most glaring reasons to many of these disaffected Americans is the pursuit of foreign involvement by the US government, investments that inevitably, so the feeling goes, come at the expense of the average US citizen/taxpayer.
There is nothing inherently racist nor exclusionary in these sentiments. Of course, one can keep peeling the onion back to try to ascertain where the animosity is functionally directed: for example, illegal migrants. But these sentiments are a response to policies that themselves were truly discriminatory and were oblivious to if not downright disdainful of millions of US citizens.
The dangerous implication of the ADL decision is its demonization of the American Right, most particularly those who have struggled to keep afloat over the past 20 years.
The ADL takes Hillary Clinton’s “deplorables” to a new depth. While Clinton showed her aristocratic contempt for the great unwashed, the ADL is calling them evil, hateful, loathsome.
Those among the MAGA crowd who are actually anti-Semitic have just been handed a great gift: validation for their hate.
“You see they really do hate us and hate everything we stand for and represent. We are right to hate them in return. They are just proving that everything we thought about Jews is actually true.”
That has to be a primary takeaway from this boneheaded decision.
There are of course heroic conservative voices tirelessly defending Israel and the Jewish People. What of them? Are they deluded, are they just trying to give cover and respectability to hate?
The inescapable takeaway from the ADL’s decision is that they have shown themselves to be wingmen to the political forces that oppose Trump and his Administration. The ADL is happy to give succor and cover to Progressive values and policies.
By way of support for this premise, here is the actual entry from the ADL’s Glossary:
“America first” is a term that references the World War Two-era “America First Committee,” and is used by extremists in antisemitic, racist and xenophobic ways. America First, in conservative circles, often refers to an ideology that was promoted by Donald Trump when he ran for office and served in office, which emphasizes American nationalism, nonintervention and anti-immigrant and anti-globalism beliefs.” (my emphasis)
So, the platform, the vision, the coalescing rallying cry from Trump that brought him twice into the White House, energizing millions of Americans, is actually extreme. Its interesting that “extreme” can be mainstream, that “hateful” can be the norm.
What is hateful about American “nationalism?” A more balanced approach would call this “patriotism.” Is “non-intervention” hateful? It might be myopic and poor policy, but “anti-globalism” isn’t hateful nor necessarily extreme.
And the assertion of “anti-immigrant” as a source for hate is rather disingenuous, since the negativity expressed in America First has been about illegal immigration, not immigration per se. Ironically, many of the most vocal critics are themselves legal immigrants.
Frighteningly and astoundingly, by adding America First to its Glossary of Extremism and Hate the ADL has politicized the support for Israel and the fight against anti-Semitism. The takeaway is inescapable: if you are for America First, you are anti-Semitic. If you support Trump, you are likely to be anti-Semitic.
By the way, If Not Now and Jewish Voices for Peace, which are actually quite hateful to Israel, are not in the Glossary. Neither is the Muslim CAIR, which actively opposes Israel at every point.
Dare one wonder if this is because these groups are “blessed” by Progressives.
In sum, the ADL has created a remarkable self-fulfilling prophecy whereby what they most fear, they are actually contributing to.
One need not be a psychotherapist to understand that if you keep telling someone that they are a certain way, at a certain point they will likely say, well then, so be it.
That is the great harm that the ADL is facilitating. If loving my country is anti-Semitic, then I guess I must be an anti-Semite.
Increasing numbers of American and Israeli Jews recognize that the ADL is no longer the all-weather stalwart defender of the Jewish People; now it is willing to temper its sentiments to fit political circumstances.
However, for non-Jews that still see the ADL as a shield for Jewry, the takeaway from the ADL’s vitriol is that American Jews have lined up with Progressives and disdain Trump and his supporters.
Count me as one who believes the ADL should its own name to its Glossary.

![]() The political consequences of spiritual aimlessnessHow is it that Jewish progressives often tolerate or rationalize the slogan “globalize the intifada,” particularly when it provides the soundtrack for violent demonstrations in which Jews are assaulted and their institutions vandalized and defiled? Opinion.Matthew M. Hausman, J.D. / 27July2025, 1:10 AM (GMT+3) https://www.israelnationalnews.com/news/412285
Photo by Marcywinograd – Own work, CC0, Wikipedia
According to published reports, socialist candidate Zohran Mamdani received twenty percent of the Jewish vote in the recent New York Democratic mayoral primary. Though some Jewish Democrats expressed alarm over Mamdani’s victory, others deflected when confronted with his record of anti-Israel rhetoric and signified their endorsement, including Congressional leaders from the Senate and House of Representatives. And they did so despite Mamdani’s involvement with the radical Students for Justice in Palestine (“SJP”) when he attended Bowdoin College (he co-founded the campus chapter) and his refusal to repudiate the slogan “globalize the intifada.”
While he finally announced he would “discourage” use of the phrase (without actually condemning it), this came only after his unwillingness to do so had become a political liability (though apparently not enough to prevent his primary win). Moreover, to date he has not renounced SJP.
There is no dispute that “globalize the intifada” is a call to destroy Israel and harm Jews. But if, as Islamists and their progressive allies argue, the slogan simply refers to ending the supposed occupation of a country – “Palestine” – that never existed and the liberation of a people – “the Palestinians” – who are not historically indigenous and who are oppressed only by their own leaders, why internationalize the conflict? Clearly, globalizing the intifada would endanger Jews worldwide, which is consistent with the Hamas Covenant advocating their total annihilation. Indeed, Article Seven contains the following hadith:
“The Day of Judgement will not come about until Muslims fight the Jews (killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say O Muslims, O Abdullah, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him. Only the Gharkad tree, (a certain kind of tree) would not do that because it is one of the trees of the Jews. (Related by al-Bukhari and Muslim.) Sahih Muslim, 41:6985.”
Equally troubling is Mamdani’s connection to SJP, which can hardly be described as a benign human rights organization. As has been widely reported, SJP’s national body (NSJP) referred to Hamas’s atrocities on October 7th as “a historic win for Palestinian resistance” and advocated for more “armed confrontation with the oppressors,” while individual chapters praised the “action” against Jewish civilians, which included murder and kidnapping.
Though such stances and relationships should be disqualifying, Democratic National Committee Chairman Ken Martin apparently thought otherwise when he stated: “There’s no candidate in this party that I agree 100% of the time with, to be honest with you. There are things that I don’t agree with Mamdani that he said, but at the end of the day, I always believe…that you win through addition.” So, using this logic, Democrats apparently can “win through [the] addition” of radicals who hurl false blood libels at Israel, disseminate classical stereotypes and conspiracy theories, or legitimize calls for violence against Jews – which essentially is what the term “globalize the intifada” means or implies.
Hmm.
Would Democrats be so magnanimous regarding candidates who incite violence against blacks, Hispanics, women, or gay people? Or who embrace the alt-right or establish local chapters of the Ku Klux Klan? Their failure to see the symmetry between hatred on the right and left bespeaks gross ignorance or moral vacuity – and an extremely high tolerance for one particular kind of prejudice.
As succinctly articulated by the ADL, “[globalize the intifada] is generally understood as a call for indiscriminate violence against Israel, and potentially against Jews and Jewish institutions worldwide.” The ADL also noted that “in the days following Hamas’s October 7 invasion of Israel, NSJP and many of the organization’s campus chapters explicitly endorsed the actions of Hamas and its armed attacks on Israeli civilians…”
So, why do Democrats fail to understand – and why do many continue to (a) tolerate radicals and Islamists for whom “globalize the intifada” is a call to violence, and (b) contextualize the abhorrent ideology of SJP? It is unnerving to see Jewish leftists chanting the slogan – along with other genocidal mantras like “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” – while falsely accusing Israel of apartheid and sacralizing the myth of Palestine.
If one were to associate a major political party with tolerance for antisemitism these days, it would be the Democrats, not the Republicans. Indeed, by welcoming antisemitic hatemongers into their ranks and elevating them to positions of authority, they demonstrate partisan myopia and skewed moral values.
There can be no doubt that slogans like “globalize the intifada” refer to the destruction of Israel and murder of Jews – just as there was no doubt about the meaning of antisemitic shibboleths from past generations. For liberal Jews familiar with the history of such rhetorical attacks over the centuries, their blindness today is all the more astounding.
The chant of “Hep! Hep!” for example, served as a rallying cry during the antisemitic riots in Bavaria that came in response to Jewish emancipation in 1819. The phrase was later adopted by Hitler’s SS as it tormented and murdered Jews in Nazi Germany. Some believe the slogan is an acronym for the Latin expression “Hierosolyma est Perdita,” or “Jerusalem is lost,” shouted by the Crusaders as they ravaged their way across Europe to the Land of Israel, raping and murdering Jews along the way and in Jerusalem. Regardless of etymology, the antisemitic meaning of “Hep! Hep!” is still recognized to the extent that Jews typically will not even utter the derivative expression, “hip, hip, hooray.”
Nobody questions the hateful meaning of terms like “Shylock,” courtesy of William Shakespeare (who never met a Jew in his life), which falsely suggests Jewish greed and venality, or “rootless cosmopolitan,” which is grounded in the soviet propaganda myth of Jews as defilers of Russian culture. Likewise, there is no dispute that the term “money lenders” was used to falsely imply a penchant for charging usurious interest to gentiles, or that “blood suckers” referred to the blood libel that sparked massacres throughout medieval Europe.
Even the term “Old Testament” is anti-Jewish, as it implies Christian supersessionism (i.e., replacement theology) and Church denigration of Judaism (and which coincidentally evidences fundamental ignorance of Hebrew scripture by Christians who ironically concede its truth as a matter of faith).
So how is it that Jewish progressives often tolerate or rationalize the slogan “globalize the intifada,” particularly when it provides the soundtrack for violent demonstrations in which Jews are assaulted and their institutions vandalized and defiled?
It certainly seems pathological when they espouse political dogmas that disparage traditional Judaism, demonize Israel, and glorify genocidal ideologies. Though such advocacy might stem from ignorance, it could also be attributed to self-loathing, which has plagued fringe elements of Jewish society for centuries.
As observed by cultural and literary historian Sander Gilman: “One of the most recent forms of Jewish self-hatred is the virulent opposition to the existence of the State of Israel.” Though Gilman wrote this in the 1990s, his words harken back to those of psychologist and author Kurt Lewin, who in the 1940s wrote that the self-hating Jew “will dislike everything specifically Jewish, for he will see in it that which keeps him away from the majority for which he is longing. He will show dislike for those Jews who are outspokenly so, and will frequently indulge in self-hatred.”
When I recently discussed this phenomenon with a colleague, he opined – correctly – that self-rejection is not limited to the political left, citing as proof the “Association of German National Jews” formed in Weimar Germany by assimilationists who identified as Germans first and foremost. Staunchly anticommunist and contemptuous of Jewish national identity, the association initially believed that antisemitism was a political tool that Hitler would shed upon achieving power. This group, representing a minority of German Jews, was outlawed by the Nazis in 1935, after which there was little doubt about their ultimate fate under the regime.
Today’s Jewish left, however, differs in the continuing support of many for radicals and Islamists who are unabashed regarding their violent antisemitic goals. Whereas ultra-nationalist German Jews were certainly delusional, they ceased rationalizing Hitler after their organization was outlawed, and its leaders arrested. In contrast, Jewish leftists today continue to justify Islamists, including Hamas, who openly preach the destruction of Israel and murder of Jews.
What kind of spiritual void causes some to elevate such radicalism over their ancestral beliefs, traditions, and history? It may be that post-enlightenment secularization produced successive generations that were increasingly desperate for outlets to express the passion and commitment once served by allegiance to G-d and Torah. But there is absolutely nothing noble about misdirected fervor that encourages mystical and physical self-destruction.
Nothing at all.

Rabbi David Yosef, the Sefardic Chief Rabbi of Israel, wrote a letter of condolence to the family of American conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was
“To the dear family members of Charlie Kirk OBм,” Rabbi Yosef wrote. “With deep sorrow and great pain, I received the devastating news of the murder of Charlie solely because he was a clear and unwavering voice of truth.”
“Charlie was a true friend of the Jewish people and of the state of Israel. His great deeds and noble character made him a remarkable figure. In his modest yet firm way, he always chose to stand by truth and justice,” he said.
The Chief Rabbi addressed the family, writing, “To Erika, and the two young children-it is hard for me to find words of comfort in such a difficult moment, a moment when the loss is felt at every instant. Yet the greatest consolation lies in the immense legacy Charlie left behind.”
“I have heard much about his great work, and I regret that I did not merit to know him personally,” he added. “This vile and cruel murder deserves condemnation from every single person. From here, in Jerusalem, we send you our condolences and seek to strengthen you in these painful times. You are not alone in your mourning-many among the Jewish people grieve with you, and remember Charlie as a man who devoted his full heart and soul to making the world a better and more just place.”

![]() News Anchor Resigns After Being Suspended Over On-Air Charlie Kirk Tribute‘I believe I am the first to be targeted for honoring him on air,’ WICS-ABC20 News anchor Beni Harmony said.Melanie Sun
A WICS-ABC20 News anchor in Springfield, Illinois, has announced that she is resigning from her position after her employer suspended her for paying tribute to the late Charlie Kirk on air.
Beni Harmony paid an impassioned tribute to Kirk, whom she knew personally, during a Sept. 12 segment on ABC20’s Marketplace program.
“I want you to know that it’s OK if you feel sadness, it’s OK if you’re grieving,” the host told her TV audience.
“Two days ago, I lost a mentor, my first boss, the first person who made me believe in myself, that encouraged me to chase this dream that you’re watching right now, Charlie Kirk.
“I want to share with you one of my favourite sayings that Charlie would always tell us at the office, he would yell it from the mountain-tops, so please listen: When conversations stop happening, when individuals become wordless, that’s when violence begins. So, if you do one thing today, make it be with passion, with conviction. Stand up for your friends, stand up for your beliefs, and speak loudly, even if your voice shakes. Your words have meaning, your values have purpose. Never forget that.
“Thank you, CK, you changed my life.”
According to a post Harmony made three days later, she was suspended by her network for the tribute to her former employer, whose assassination on a Utah college campus on Sept. 10 made national headlines.
“I believe I am the first to be targeted for honoring him on air.
“Effective immediately, I have resigned from @WICS_ABC20 after being SUSPENDED for airing a non-partisan tribute to Charlie Kirk this past Friday.”
Explaining the reasoning behind her decision to leave the network, Harmony wrote: “My resignation is guided by values that are essential to who I am, which I refuse to set aside in order to keep a job. I choose my faith and love of country, and always will.”
She then thanked her community in the city of Springfield and shared a prayer for the country, Kirk, and his wife and two young children.
Recent Spate of FiringsNumerous people in leadership positions have lost employment over inappropriate comments in response to the assassination of Kirk.
One of the more prominent early cases was the firing of MSNBC analyst Matthew Dowd on Sept. 11, the day after Kirk was fatally shot.
Another media commentator, Washington Post columnist Karen Attiah, also said she had been fired over her comments on the assassination of the conservative influencer.
Several universities, including Clemson University in South Carolina, and companies, including American Airlines and Delta Air Lines, have terminated employees over their inappropriate comments on Kirk’s murder.
Military officials have also said they are looking into disparaging remarks made by service members about the assassination, and that actions that discredit the service will be addressed immediately.
Confronting Political ViolenceVice President JD Vance, who was a close friend of Kirk, hosted a special broadcast of “The Charlie Kirk Show” on Sept. 15—a show that Kirk personally hosted every day from October 2020, right up until his death on Sept. 10, 2025.
In the special broadcast, Vance called on his fellow Americans to confront the problem of political violence, which he said has “terrible consequences,” such as the attempted assassination of President Donald Trump and the shooting of GOP leader Steve Scalise.
“I really do believe we can come together in this country. I believe we must. But unity, real unity, can be found only after climbing the mountain of truth, and there are difficult truths we must confront in our country,” Vance said.
“One truth is that 24 percent of self-described liberals believe it is acceptable to be happy about the death of a political opponent, while only 3 percent of self-described very conservatives agree. Three percent is too many, of course.
“Another truth is that 26 percent of young liberals believe political violence is sometimes justified, and only 7 percent of young conservatives say the same—again, too high a number.
“The data is clear, people on the left are much likelier to defend and celebrate political violence—this is not a both-sides problem. If both sides have a problem, one side has a much bigger and malignant problem, and that is the truth that must be told.”
His comments come after Kirk’s suspected assassin was identified as Tyler Robinson, who Utah Gov. Spencer Cox said had “clearly a leftist ideology.”
FBI Director Kash Patel said on Sept. 13 that Robinson’s father identified his son from footage released during the manhunt for the suspect.
Cox also confirmed that investigators are assessing writings, some with anti-fascist content, allegedly left by Robinson, who had a transgender romantic partner. Authorities have not publicly said whether this is relevant as they investigate Robinson’s motive.
T.J. Muscaro and Zachary Stieber contributed to this report.

Holocaust inversion
You may be shocked to know the allegation isn’t new. It’s as old as the State of Israel, and it’s meant to twist the N*zi genocide of 6 million Jews to demonize the one Jewish state, the Israeli people, and Jews everywhere. Holocaust inversion insidiously or explicitly flips the role of victims and perpetrators in the Holocaust. Jews were the victims of industrialized extermination unparalleled in human history, and now detractors of Israel – the Jews’ only refuge, their salvation, their rebirth, and their assurance the Holocaust will never happen again – accuse the world’s only Jewish state of committing humanity’s worst atrocities. Against all evidence proving the contrary (and yes, it’s that obvious), Holocaust inversion is used to cast Jews as their N*zi oppressors. What’s happening in Gaza is a war. It’s a brutal war being fought against the vicious medieval terror organization Hamas in urban conditions where the world has demanded Gazan civilians stay put in a war zone (the only such case in recent history), and where that same vicious terror organization demands Gazans act as human shields and be human sacrifices to further their concurrent propaganda war. The Holocaust was a state-sanctioned, state-ordered, industrialized campaign separate from conquering war goals that was singularly focused on annihilating an entire people simply for existing even when doing so disrupted their chances of winning that war. It’s obscene to equate the two. Doing so is unquestionably politically motivated, and it is a separate front in the war that is being fought against Israel’s very right to exist. And therein lies the other inversion. It is those fighting Israel – be it Hamas, the Islamic Republic regime in Iran, Hezbollah, the Houthis – that expressly seek the annihilation of the State of Israel and the genocide of Jews. And too many are falling for it. This is all part of the delegitimization lawfare campaign that started even before Israel’s birth, was reorganized as “BDS” in Durban in 2001, and became an express lawfare strategy of the PA in 2015 when it joined the ICC via signing onto the Rome Statue in violation of the Oslo Accords. But Holocaust inversion is also baked into the ideology of Palestinianism – just look at PA President Mahmoud Abbas who wrote his dissertation at a Soviet university denying the Holocaust and who was accusing Jews of causing their own annihilation by the N*zis while concurrently accusing Israel of committing “50 Holocausts” against Palestinians all before the post-October 7 war even began. Scholars, historians, lawyers, and every day decent people need to stand loudly against Holocaust inversion and the manner in which it erodes the postwar moral order and brings us closer to “Never Again” becoming “Again.” The same pre-Holocaust dehumanization of Jews that allowed industrialized murder to occur across Europe (with much help from local populations) is happening before our eyes. Be clear, Holocaust inversion is not about justice for Palestinians, it’s about erasure of the Jewish experience and the necessity of Israel. Holocaust inversion must be placed outside the Overton window because it is far from being just “criticism.” It is the latest version of the world’s oldest hatred disguised as morality while using the language of “human rights.” Defend the memories of the 6 million. Defend Israel’s right to exist. Reject Holocaust inversion.

THANK YOU, HASHEM, FOR THE MIRACLES
Rabbi Lazer Brody-tweet-10December2024-THANK YOU, HASHEM, FOR THE MIRACLES
Israel missed the opportunity of doing mass teshuva after the miracles of the 6-Day War in 1967. History is repeating itself. Miracles in real-time right now:
1. The IDF is working overtime destroying the Syrian AF and sophisticated weaponry on the ground.
2. The Hermon has been liberated as well as strategic territory in the Golan.
3. Iran has left Syria with its tail between its legs.
4. Russia has retreated from most of Syria, confined to their AF and naval base on the Mediterranean.
5. Hezbolla is fleeing from Syria, chased by the rebels who seek revenge against them.
6. The leftist media here had doomsday predictions of hundreds of thousands of Hezbolla missiles raining all over Israel, Heaven forbid. None of it happened.
7. Civil Defense warned that we’d be for at least 3 days without electricity and water. None of it happened.
There are 100’s (1000’s) more pre-Moshiach miracles that I’m not even mentioning, such the liquidation of our enemies one-by-one and President Trump’s election victory…
All of Israel should be doing teshuva. At least, has anyone thanked Hashem? I will. Right now. If you also want to thank Hashem, repost this do give your followers a chance to thank Hashem. THANK YOU, HASHEM, FOR THE MIRACLES. The more we thank Hashem, the more reasons He’ll give us to thank Him.

“The G-d of vengeance has appeared” (Psalm 94:1)
Rabbi Lazer Brody-tweet-12December2024-The G-d of vengeance has appeared
Pay close attention to Hashem’s timing: We are now in Kislev, the miracle month of Chanukah, and the week of “Vayishlach”, when we read Ovadiah’s prophecy of Hashem’s vengeace on our enemies.
Syria has always been our most dangerous enemy:
1. In 2007, Syria had North-Korean designed and built nuclear complex, a copy of the one in Yongbyon, NK, which produced plutonium for nuclear bombs. This was in the Syrian desert at Al Khibar, well isolated, concealed and heavily guarded. With Hashem’s help, Israel destroyed it in a daring “Operation Orchard,” the night of Sept. 5-6, 2007, the Syrians were only a few weeks away from producing bomb-grade radioactive materials.
2. The Syrians have had poison gas and chemical weapons for decades, along with at least 4 production facilities and dozens of stockpiles. Assad used them against his own people in the Ghouta attack of 2013. This too has always been a covert threat against Israel. Those of us who served on the Syrian border underwent special training how to protect ourselves from these nasty death agents. With Hashem’s help, this week, Israel destroyed at least 3 of the 4 production facilities as well as the stockpiles.
3. Sign of Moshiach: Hashem, with the IDF as His messenger, this week has destroyed this cruel enemy without a war. The cherry on top is Mount Hermon, which He has given us also.
4. Many of our young readers never heard of masterspy Eli Cohen, navigator Ron Arad and the valiant Golani soldiers atop Mount Hermon on Yom Kippur of 1973, wounded in battle and executed by the sadistic Syrians. Hashem doesn’t forget and He takes His revenge at the time He deems fit. In the case of Assad’s Syria, it has been this week.
Thank You, Hashem. In King David’s words, “The G-d of vengeance has appeared” (Psalm 94:1). And, in the words of Deborah, Judge and Prophetess, “Thus shall perish all Your enemies, Hashem” (Judges 5:31).
Anyone who can’t smell Moshiach on the way should schedule an appointment with an ear, nose and throat specialist.

The Land of Israel has been gifted to us by Hashem
Rabbi Lazer Brody-tweet-15December2024-The Land of Israel has been gifted to us by Hashem
The adjacent photo shows 3 prodigious tzaddikim zatza”l from the previous generation, whom I had the privilege of meeting personally and receiving their blessing: at left is the Lubavitcher Rebbe; top right is the Bostoner Rebbe and botom right is the Sadigora Rebbe.
Their common denominator was that they were uncompromising on the territorial integrity of the Land of Israel.
All 3 would have demanded Israel sovereignty over all of Mount Hermon and the Golan buffer zone, as well as the rebuilding of Gush Katif. These 3 teach us what uncompromising Jewish pride is.
Look what the Lubavitcher Rebbe said in 1982:
“The Land of Israel has been gifted to us by Hashem in our generation with open miracles. There is no doubt whatsoever that we are forbidden to touch it. No one has the right to touch it because it is ours as an everlasting inheritance! The Land of Israel belongs to every single Jew throughout the world, to every Jew of all previous generations, as well as to our children and grandchildren, given to us by G-d….
“There are those, Heaven forbid, who want to give away parts of the Land of Israel. These lands, still today, belong to Avraham, Yitzchok, and Yaakov, to the 12 tribes, to the 70 souls that went down into the Egyptian exile, to the 600,000 Jewish people, and to the generation which entered the land conquered by Yehoshua bin Nun. Not one single person is the owner to give away even one small piece of land, even half a piece, even one iota, because it is not his to relinquish!”
The IDF and Govt. must stop apologizing for taking all of the Hermon. The world condemns us anyway, so lets not heed them. It’s time to rebuild Gush Katif and make the Golan even stronger. Let’s not forget our biblical heartland of Judea and Samaria. There’s no such thing as territories. May Hashem bless us all with emuna and strong Jewish backbones. Kislev is the month to pray for both.

Time to rethink the borders of the Middle East map
by Eric R. Mandel, opinion contributor – 12/27/24 1:30 PM ET https://thehill.com/opinion/5057286-middle-east-artificial-nations/
Most Americans are unaware that today’s Middle East is an artificial construct created by British and French diplomats (Sykes and Picot) after World War I to advance their empires’ economic and political interests. They carved up the Middle East map with the stroke of a pen, and we have lived with the consequences ever since.
The San Remo Conference in 1920 codified colonial interests out of the remains of the defunct Ottoman Empire. Ethnic, religious and topographical considerations were ignored or minimized.
Now, just over a hundred years later, we are at another crossroads in the aftermath of the collapse of Syria, one of the Western-created nation-states. Many wars have been fought to keep these artificial states together, but they have more compelling reasons to be divided than to stay whole. As Conrad Black wrote in Brussels Signal, “The collapse of the Assad government in Syria must rank as the final unflattering death knell of the attempts at nation-building by the victorious Allied leaders at the end of World War I.”
Is 2025 the year we finally are ready to acknowledge the harm of jamming together religious and tribal groups who hate each other? The multi-ethnic state model works in the United States because Americans desire it. The world may not be ready to redraw the boundaries of the Middle East but it should not be under the false illusion that ignoring the false divisions will lead to fewer cycles of persecution, torture, religious extremism and authoritarian rule.
Syria, today’s shiny coin for international attention, is another mock nation imagined by the Brits and French. For the last 44 years, it was ruthlessly ruled by an Alawite minority led by the Assad family, who persecuted the majority Sunni population.
Unfortunately, the Syrian uprising in 2024 is led by Sunni jihadists funded by the ascendent Muslim Brotherhood (MB) Turkish President Recep Erdogan and his Qatari partners. Erdogan’s goal is the resurrection of the Ottoman empire and acquiescence to Turkish hegemony in the Muslim Middle East. The Muslim Brotherhood is the ideological bedrock of political Islamism and radical jihadism, which ranges from Hamas to al Qaeda to HTS (Tahrir al-Sham), the latter the most likely group to dominate Syria in 2025 and beyond.
HTS’ leader, Abu Mohammed al-Golani, appears to have learned the lessons of past jihadist confrontations with Westerners and will be patient to gain their misplaced trust. He knows if he says the words they want to hear — democracy, freedom of religion, tolerance, respect for human rights — they will offer tens of billions of dollars for reconstruction of his war-torn nation. America and the West are happy to be fooled over and over again.
Logic says Syria could be divided into an autonomous America-aligned Kurdish region, a small Alawite region on the Mediterranean Coast, and, unfortunately, a Turkish-dominated Sunni jihadist entity in the rest of the rump nation. Most of the Christian population has been chased away and exiled out of fear of persecution. Syrian Druze may prefer to join their families on the Israeli side of the Golan.
Despite the optimism of the Syrian people captured in American media, Syria today feels more like the early excitement of the Arab Spring (2011), which quickly turned into an Arab Winter of repression.
Iraq, another artificial nation, was created with British commerce and dominance in mind. The colonial powers installed a king not indigenous to Iraq as compensation for broken British and French promises. The Hashemites were given newly created monarchies in Iraq and Jordan. The Iraqi king was deposed in the 1950s, but the multi-ethnic and sectarian divided nation remained intact.
From 1979-2003, Iraq was ruled by the tyrant Saddam Hussein, who persecuted the majority population until the U.S. invasion, which led to cycles of vengeance and war without America doing what was most needed, creating three states in Iraq. The Kurds in the north, the Shiites in the south, and the Sunni majority in the center would form states roughly along ethnic and traditional lines. The Kurds, an indigenous people who were promised their own country, were betrayed by the European powers. Today, they are persecuted in Turkey, Iran, Iraq and Syria.
The Iranian-dominated nation of Iraq will keep oppressing its minorities until the Iranian empire of evil next door is overthrown by the Iranian people, something that should be an American foreign policy goal, stated publicly, supported with aid where possible, but not backed by U.S. troops on the ground.
Which brings us back to how this all happened. Skyes and Picot redrew the Middle East according to colonial desires while ignoring the profound differences in religion, culture, clan and territory that had been in place for centuries, spawning a century of strife and persecution.
So many of the promises were broken, leaving a bad taste in the mouths of Middle Eastern peoples with long memories. The ancient and indigenous Jewish people were promised, as the lines were being drawn by the colonial powers, an area from the Mediterranean through today’s Jordan, which was whittled down to less than 20 percent of what was pledged.
Yet, Israel could be a model for nation-states in the Levant because it was created for a people of shared history, tradition, indigeneity and religion. Unfortunately, unlike their Muslim neighbors, only they can give full rights to their minority citizens, because they adopted a Western-style democracy. This does not negate the possibility of autonomy for the Palestinians unless their lodestar remains the elimination of the Jewish State.
In Jordan, the Brits installed a Hashemite king from the Arabian Peninsula, but his monarchy is not indigenous to the Levant. Lebanon, another artificial construct, was initially supposed to be Christian-dominated in alliance with France, but is now a failed state due to demographic changes that led to a Shiite plurality allied with the hegemonic Islamic Republic of Iran.
Lebanon, too, should be divided, but the international and Western powers are blinded by their misconceived historical perspective, thinking that Lebanon, Syria and Iraq are millennial old nations, where in fact, they are less than a century old.
None of this is optimal, but this is the hand the region has been dealt. The Middle East has been such a basket case for so long that perhaps a newly reimagined region based on ethnic and religious realities is needed to reverse the damage colonial interests created a hundred years ago.
In America, the foreign policy pendulum has swung to the isolationist side, which risks missing an opportunity to advance our regional interests. We can learn from the mistakes of nation-building in Iraq while working with the people of the region who want to be our allies. This is a path forward for U.S. foreign policy.
Those Syrian rebel enthusiasts would be wise to listen to the lyrics of the rock band The Who, “Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.” Under a new administration, America should help the Middle East learn to sing a new tune.

Israel have set forth a clear policy: demilitarization of the region to south of Damascus, from the Golan Heights and to the Druze Mountain area.
“During the Holocaust, when you were being slaughtered, you, the Jews, cried for help and no one came. Today we, the Druze, are being slaughtered and we are calling for the help of the State of Israel”. – Sheikh Muafak Tarif, the leader of the Druze community in Israel
Statement by Prime Minister Netanyahu
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu:
“I would like to brief you on what we have done in Syria, and what we are going to do in Syria.
We have set forth a clear policy: demilitarization of the region to south of Damascus, from the Golan Heights and to the Druze Mountain area. That’s rule number one. Rule number two is protecting the brothers of our brothers, the Druze at the Druze Mountain.
Both those rules were broken by the regime in Damascus. The regime sent troops south of Damascus, into the region that has to be demilitarized, and began slaughtering the Druze. That we could not accept in any way, and I therefore directed the IDF to take action — and take powerful action. The Air Force attacked both the gangs of murderers and the armored vehicles. I added another target, to also attack the Ministry of Defense in Damascus.
As a result of that powerful action, a ceasefire came into force, and the Syrian forces retreated back to Damascus. That is important.
This is a ceasefire that was reached through strength. Not by making requests, not by begging — through strength. We are reaching peace through strength, quiet through strength, security through strength — on seven fronts.
That will also be our policy going forward — we will not allow Syrian army forces to enter the region south of Damascus, and will not allow any harm to the Druze at the Druze Mountain.
I would like to share with you something that touched me deeply over the past two days. I received a message from Sheikh Muafak Tarif, the leader of the Druze community in Israel. He told me the following: “During the Holocaust, when you were being slaughtered, you, the Jews, cried for help and no one came. Today we, the Druze, are being slaughtered and we are calling for the help of the State of Israel”.
I told him that he’s right.
We have taken action, and we will continue to take action as necessary”.

The massacre of the Druze is a moral test: Israel acted, the world failed
The international community cannot continue treating President al-Sharra as a legitimate partner, while turning a blind eye to the atrocities that are being committing in Sweida

The massacre unfolding against the Druze in southern Syria, in which hundreds of civilians have been slaughtered, is not just another footnote in a region otherwise filled with constant bloodshed and turmoil. This is a moral test for the international community, and those who claim to stand for human rights and seek to rebuild the country torn apart by decades of civil war and the brutal dictatorship of the Assad regime.
In recent days, we have witnessed Druze civilians systematically hunted, humiliated, and murdered by forces loyal to, or possibly even part of, the Syrian regime of Ahmad al-Sharra: the jihadist-turned-would-be statesman, and new darling of the international community. That same international community has remained largely silent in the face of this unfolding massacre.
But silence is complicity.
As Holocaust survivor Elie Weisel implored us: “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented. Sometimes we must interfere.”
That is precisely why Israel chose to interfere with military action, to defend the Druze.
The Druze are a small but proud religious and ethnic minority in the Middle East, numbering around one million, primarily in Syria, Lebanon, and northern Israel. In Israel, they are an integral and cherished part of our society. They serve in the military, hold senior positions in government, and have long stood shoulder to shoulder with the Jewish people in defending the state, including fighting in Gaza, after the October 7 massacre by Hamas. They are our brothers-in-arms.
But in Syria, the Druze are now at a perilous crossroad. After more than a decade of civil war, economic collapse, betrayal and hardship, the Druze in the southern Syrian city of Sweida, home to the country’s largest Druze community, sought to peacefully protest for their basic rights, dignity, and freedom.
And for that, they are now in the regime’s crosshairs.
What started with attacks by Bedouin forces against the Druze escalated when government forces entered Sweida, supposedly to oversee a ceasefire. But according to media reports and eye witnesses, the Syrian soldiers, recognisable by their uniforms and military insignia, joined the Bedouins and murdered Druze on the streets and in their homes.
Sickening videos have also emerged of thugs forcibly shaving the beards of Druze men, a calculated act of religious humiliation. Such outrages against personal dignity, particularly acts of humiliating and degrading treatment, constitute clear violations of international law and the Geneva Conventions.
For the Jewish people, this evokes a chilling reminder of one of the darkest chapters in our history, when Nazis similarly sought to strip Jewish men of their dignity and faith by publicly shaving their beards and humiliating them in public. This is not just repression, it is dehumanisation.
And as the world largely stood by – silent, or offering little more than empty words and meek statements of concern – while Druze were massacred in Sweida, I am proud that Israel did not turn its back. The Jewish state showed courage, conviction and leadership, to step in with military force against the Syrian regime, to help defend our Druze brothers.
For Israel, the bond with the Druze is not abstract. It is deeply personal. Their loyalty has never wavered. Nor can ours now.
The Druze have also stood for moderation, coexistence, and resistance to extremism. In a region overrun by Iranian proxies, jihadist militias, and failed regimes, the Druze offer a rare glimmer of hope.
This is not only about doing the right thing and protecting a vulnerable minority. Supporting the Druze is a moral imperative.
Meantime, the international community cannot continue treating President al-Sharra as a legitimate partner on the world stage or welcome Syria into the Abraham Accords, while turning a blind eye to the atrocities that are being committing in Sweida.
It is not enough for al-Sharra to issue vague condemnations or deflect blame onto so-called “outlaw groups.” Even if he did not give the orders, these atrocities are unfolding on his watch, under his authority, carried out by forces loyal to his regime – and reportedly by his own troops.
There must be accountability.
If al-Sharra wishes to be seen as a credible leader or statesman, he must demonstrate it – not with empty rhetoric, but through decisive action. That begins with reining in these jihadist thugs, whether they are merely aligned with his regime or, worse, operating within it.
The Druze of Sweida are not pleading for your sympathy, they are demanding their inalienable right to live in peace and dignity, with full civil rights. What happens next will reveal whether the international community truly seeks a new Syria, or will continue rewarding tyranny with silence. For Israel however, silence was simply not an option.

Katz: Syrian Druze to work in Israeli Golan Heights
“We will strengthen ties with the residents of the region.”
Akiva Van Koningsveld https://www.jns.org/israel-defense-minister-syrian-druze-to-work-in-israel/?hss_channel=tw-538525553
(March 12, 2025 / JNS) Syrian Druze will be able to enter the Israeli Golan Heights to work starting on Sunday, Defense Minister Israel Katz announced Tuesday.
“We will strengthen ties with the residents of the region, and soon, on the 16th of the month, the Druze will start working in the Golan Heights communities,” Katz said in remarks published by his office following an official visit to the buffer zone on the Syrian side of Mount Hermon.
The initial stage of the pilot will see dozens of Syrian Druze working in construction and agriculture in Golan Druze towns, Israel’s Kan News public broadcaster reported last month.
The plan was reportedly initiated by Israeli Druze, who asked security officials to come to the aid of their people across the northern border. The plan was drawn up by Maj. Gen. Ghassan Alian, a Druze who heads the Israeli Defense Ministry’s Unit for the Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories.
Katz during his tour reiterated his commitment to the Israel Defense Forces staying in Syrian territory “indefinitely” to protect the border.
“Every morning when [Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa] opens his eyes in the presidential palace in Damascus, he will see the IDF watching him from the heights of the Hermon and will remember that we are here, in all security areas in southern Syria,” he said.
“We are here to protect the residents of the Golan and the Galilee from any threat posed by him and his jihadi associates,” added the minister.
On Monday, Katz slammed mass killings and other atrocities carried out in Syria in recent days. Al-Shara’a “took off his jalabiya, put on a suit, and presented a moderate facade,” but now “has removed the mask, revealing his true face: a jihadist terrorist from the Al-Qaeda school, committing atrocities against the Alawite civilian population.”
The massacres in Syria have reignited concerns over the country’s new Sunni Islamist government. More than a thousand people have been killed in the coastal provinces of Tartus and Latakia, with the true figure possibly being much higher.
Al-Sharaa’s government has denied responsibility for the killings, calling the accusations “undocumented.” Local human rights groups have also reported Assad loyalists killing members of Al-Sharaa’s security forces.
Al-Sharaa was a leading figure in Al-Qaeda before founding Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), which led the overthrow of the Assad regime last year.
Katz said Israel would ensure southern Syria remains demilitarized and free of threat, and would protect the local Druze population, warning that “anyone who harms them will face our response.”
Earlier this month, Katz and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned the new government in Damascus that if it harmed Syria’s Druze community, Jerusalem would retaliate militarily.
“We will not allow the terrorist regime of radical Islam in Syria to harm the Druze. We have instructed the IDF to prepare and deliver a harsh and clear warning: If the regime harms the Druze, it will be harmed by us,” the Israeli leaders said in a joint statement issued on March 1.
“We are committed to our Druze brothers in Israel to do everything to prevent harm to their Druze brothers in Syria, and we will take all necessary measures to ensure their safety,” the statement added.
Netanyahu and Katz instructed the military to prepare to defend the city of Jaramana, located about 1.8 miles southeast of Damascus, in the Rif Dimashq (“Damascus Suburb”) Governorate on the Ghouta plain.

Let’s compare how much Syrian territory Israel controls with how much Turkey illegally occupies
Elder of Ziyon 10December2024
Lots of antisemites are looking at Israel going into the former buffer zone in Syria to help defend Israel from any threats. They are saying that this is evidence of the “greater Israel” plan, of Israel’s ast expansionist desires to eventually control the entire region from the Nile to the Euphrates.
Let’s look at how much land Israel is now occupying. (Most maps from Critical Threats.)
Opposition Advances in Southwest Syria 9December2024
It is the little patch of blue next to the much larger Golan Heights.
Now let’s zoom out and look at who is controlling all of Syria today.<
Reported Control of Terrain in Syria-9December2024
You can hardly see the blue area.
But look at the light yellow areas in northern Syria.
Those are controlled by the “Syrian National Army.” The SNA is a Turkish proxy – essentially, Turkey’s “Hezbollah.” It is funded by Turkey, armed by Turkey and all of its military decisions are made by Turkey.
Turkey controls 22 times the area Israel controls – 8,835 square kilometers.
And the Turkish presence is not only in the yellow sections. As of 2021, one think-tank counted 113 Turkish military bases and outposts in Syria: within 5 governorates: 55 in Aleppo, 43 in Idlib, 9 in Raqqa, 4 in Al-Hasaka and 2 in Lattakia.
Map of Turkey’s bases and posts in Syria
Unlike the Russian and Iranian bases in Syria, the Turkish bases are in no danger of being taken over by the rebels.
This has been going on for many years, and there are probably fewer articles about Turkish occupation of vast parts of Syria in the past decade than on Israel taking over tiny parts of Syria in the past couple of days.
But that is not the only thing that Western media has been downplaying about these areas.
Turkey considers a 20-30 km wide swatch of Syrian territory along its borders to be a “safe zone” – which is a buffer zone that it controls or intends to control. And within that zone are illegal settlements.
You see, Turkey has been expelling hundreds of thousands of Kurds from these territories – building settlements, and forcibly populating them with Sunni Muslim Syrian refugees who fled to Turkey. They are changing the demography of the area with settlements that almost no one talks about.
Turkey’s policy of occupation, ethnic cleansing and settlement enterprise in parts of Syria violates international law. Almost no one discusses this and European governments, fearful of Turkish reactions and threats to send millions of refugees their way, are reluctant to emphasize this – but no one outside Turkey disputes this.
How many Syrians has Israel displaced? From all accounts – zero.
Here is a great example where the main story is true – Israel did indeed take over 400 square kilometers of Syrian territory, as a temporary measure until there is a dependable government or other arrangements that can guarantee Israel’s security. But when you compare that to the entire size of Syria and the amount of land controlled by other foreign nations, the real story turns out to be the one that everyone is ignoring.

433 days ago, Israel found itself in its darkest hour
Itamar Avni-tweet-13December2024-433 days ago
🔺 Destroying the Syrian army 🔺 Route to Iran is clear 🔺 End to UNRWA ops in Israel 🔺 Druze call Israel to annex them🔺
Middle East Report / Friday, December 13
“War does not determine who is right, only who is left.”
– Bertrand Russell
🔺 433 days ago, Israel found itself in its darkest hour. The horrible slaughter of Israelis on #October7Massacre broke the hearts of Jews and many others around the world, but also shattered the dreams of ever sharing the land peacefully with the #Palestinians.
433 days later, after facing tremendous challenges on every possible front, I believe there is one clear victor. You don’t have to be religious to realize that the prayer for the IDF soldiers was true: “For it is the Lord your God, Who goes with you to battle your enemies for you to save you.” Events of Biblical scale are happening before our eyes as the Jews rise from the ashes to smite their enemies.
Jews rise from the ashes to smite their enemies
#Iran, the master of the evil ring of fire around Israel, as well as #Hamas and #Hezbollah, underestimated Israel’s ability to sustain the losses and keep fighting for 14 months. Hamas was minimized to the area of Khan Yunis. Hezbollah teased Israel for 11 months, then was struck with plagues it never imagined. And only a week ago did we witness the collapse of the Iranian-supporting regime in #Syria. A years civil war that lingered for 13 years ended with a blitz that took 11 days only, and old Syria was gone.
🔺 Never forget that Biden’s administration wanted to stop Israel from fighting for its life and survival. So many tease me that Israel is nothing without the US. In reality, it’s the opposite. Without the US the war would take 2 months, not 14. 40,000 Palestinians could still be alive, most of Gaza would be standing and the Israeli hostages would be home long ago.
🔺 All eyes on Syria now. On the range between losers and winners, #Turkey is certainly on the winning side. Turkey aided and supported the rebels and now Syria is hers. It can keep annexing the huge “buffer zone” that it created inside Syria along their shared border, by that have better access to the Kurds that it hates so much.
The Syrian people on the other hand are facing very challenging times. The Alawites are trying to escape into Lebanon or flee to other countries. What will be the fate of those who can’t run away?
The rebels, now the government, are hunting people from Assad’s regime. In videos down this thread, you will see what Syria will look like in the near future. Executions in the streets and fields, just like that. These are Israel’s new neighbors. The rebels, lest you forgot, are former Al-Qaeda or ISIS. Who knows what religious fanaticism they’ll bring with them?
The #Kurds are holding the eastern side of Syria, after retreating from other, central, areas, but it’s still quite a large portion of the country. The Kurds are supported by the US and under the radar they are in close ties with Israel. Can Syria be run in peace and harmony as a single state with these groups working together singing Kumbaya? I highly doubt it, certainly when one of the groups is led by radical Islam. The best solution (which should have been enforced right after WWI) is to create 3 states or cantons – Muslim, Kurdish and Druze. Let each have an autonomy in his area, and Israel could finally enjoy a friendly non-Arab neighbor on its border for the first time in 76 years. Just imagine.
An amazing story came out today from the #Druze villages along the #Golan border. Druze leaders of 6 villages near the Israeli border, joined together and called Israel to annex them to the Golan. They’d rather live as Israelis than put their faith in the hands of the rebels. As I said earlier, we are seeing tectonic plates moving in the Middle East, all thanks to Israel’s insistence to keep fighting till victory. The largest Druze concentration is located south of Damascus and close to Jordan, in a mountainous area called Mount Druze (Jabel al-Duruz). The video that was released today puts the Druze in clear danger – Israel, Jordan and the US must help keep them safe.
🔺 And now Israel, finally enjoying an Iran-free Syria. Once the picture became clearer, Israel knew it had a once in a lifetime opportunity to get rid of one of its greatest threats. On Sunday, when the news of the rebels entering Damascus arrived, Israel set out to one of its largest air campaigns ever – to destroy the Syrian army before anyone will put his hands on the weapons.
Israel has destroyed the Syrian air force
According to the IDF’s estimations, 86% of Syria’s air defense systems were destroyed. This practically gives the IAF freedom to fly without interruption above Syria (till recently one of the densest place on earth missile-wise) all the way… you guessed it… to Iran. 90% of the MIG-29 fighters, 80 of the Sukhoy-24, air defense systems, most of the Syrian navy, suspected locations of chemical weapons, intelligence bases, research and manufacturing sites and much more. Huge Iranian investment went up in flames in a matter of days.
It was a battle in the presence of one side only, zero Syrian resistance, which will cripple Syria’s ability to threaten Israel in the next decade. Another step that Israel took is to take control of the buffer zone on the border.
The Golan Heights
The armistice agreement (1974) after the Yom Kippur war included a demilitarized buffer zone guarded by UNDOF. These are the yellow lines you see in the map. As the rebels advanced south, they attacked a UN post in the buffer and Israeli forces went in to help. The Syrian army abandoned its posts and ran away, against the 1974 agreement, and the IDF filled the gap.
If there’s one lesson we’ve learned from October 7 (and yet need to implement in Lebanon) is that we no longer have the luxury to let barbarians reach our border. For that reason, Gaza now has a 1 km security strip along the borders. Anyone getting closer will be shot. For that same reason, an Israeli elite unit reached the higher peak on the Hermon mountain as its Syrian guards left it. The defense minister already instructed the IDF to prepare to stay there all winter.
🔺 As the negotiations for a ceasefire in Gaza are gearing up, Israeli defense minister said “the war will not be over as long as there’s even one hostage in Gaza.”
Be skeptical about what you see in the news. 90% is fake, attempts by all sides to influence the other for a better deal. The major change this time is that Hamas suddenly finds itself alone. The only proxy still fighting alongside it are the Houthis. They launch drones and ballistic missiles from time to time which hardly makes any effect, but while they keep trying it seems that Israel is losing its patience. My guess is that we’ll see some kind of a retaliation in the next few days.
🔺 Last October, the Israeli Knesset passed a law with an astonishingly large majority (92:10, and against an American objection) that will forbid any #UNRWA activity in Israel. According to the new law, passed 59 years too late, UNRWA will not have any representation in Israel, nor supply any service or hold any operation on Israeli territory, directly or indirectly. All it’s activities in East Jerusalem will be stopped and Israel will take over. The law will take affect on January 28.
Philippe Lazzarini, Commissioner-General of UNRWA
Philippe Lazzarini, Commissioner-General of UNRWA, and many countries objected to the Israeli step. Lazzarini threatened UNRWA will have to stop its activities when the law kicks in. The workers in the West Jerusalem HQ already got their termination letters. Hallelujah.
The Israeli law, just to clarify, does not prohibit UNRWA from operating, only that it won’t be able to do so from Israel. It only makes sense that an organization educating children to die as martyrs in a holy war against Israel, won’t work IN Israel. No more inciting against the Jewish state while sleeping in a luxurious Tel Aviv hotel.
Besides, it’s about time Palestinians will pay for their education and healthcare with their own money. Maintaining them as a needy society that can’t do anything by itself for 76 years (except for terror) only keeps peace away.
🔺 In the meantime, Israel keeps hunting the participants of the Oct 7 invasion. Just like after the 1972 Olympics massacre, when Israel tracked and killed each and every terrorist who was part of the plan, the same happens now with a special Shin Bet team working 24/7 to bring justice to the Israeli victims. Every one who crossed the border that day knows by now that there’s a cross on his back. Time to say goodbye.

I have written about the interests of the players in the region a few times, see bellow.
Essentially, the Druze receive protection from the Islamists in Damascus,
Israel receives a buffer zone between the homeland and the Turkish-Islamist alliance.

The Druze of southern Syria have publicly declared their desire to secede from Syria and be annexed to Israel.
Based on topography this is what the annexation would look like.
The IDF has already taken over the DMZ in yellow and moved into some of the Druze towns.
H.A. Hazony-tweet-24February2025-IDF is offering the Druze of southern Syria employment opportunities
Israeli media reports that the IDF is offering the Druze of southern Syria employment opportunities inside the state of Israel.
Economically, life for Israeli Druze is much better than that of their Syrian cousins. This may be a tactic to encourage support for the new alliance.

The Druze now fully control the southern Syrian region of Sweida
Dr. Maalouf-tweet-2March2025-The Druze now fully control the southern Syrian region of Sweida
A new country is emerging in the Middle East.
The Druze, with the support of Israel, now fully control the southern Syrian region of Sweida.
Sweida has almost half a million people. Over 85% are Druze and nearly 10% are Christian. It’s BY FAR the safest area for Christians in Syria.
Sweida would become the first overwhelmingly non-Muslim state in the Middle East since Israel!

Report: Clashes erupt between al-Sharaa forces and armed Druze; IDF strikes in Syria
Violent clashes between Bedouin tribes and armed Druze groups in As-Suwayda have left 37 people dead and 100 wounded. The violence erupted after a Druze youth was assaulted and robbed by armed Bedouins on the highway to Damascus. The IDF said it had recently struck several tanks in the area between As-Sijn and Sama Al-Kharab in southern Syria.

The IDF Spokesperson announced Monday afternoon that it had “recently struck several tanks in the area between As-Sijn and Sama Al-Kharab in southern Syria,” after those tanks advanced toward As-Suwayda, the provincial capital, in response to fierce clashes between Druze groups and armed Bedouins. This marks the first significant direct confrontation between Israel and forces loyal to Ahmed al-Sharaa since May, when a previous round of violence also erupted between the new regime and the Druze population in southern Syria.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the victims included 27 Druze, among them two children, and 10 Bedouins. Syria’s Interior Ministry reported “more than 30 dead and nearly 100 wounded.” The Damascus–As-Suwayda highway was closed in the wake of the fighting.
The Interior Ministry announced overnight that Syrian security forces would begin a “direct intervention in the area to resolve the conflict, stop the clashes, restore security, pursue those responsible, and bring them to justice.” Syria’s Defense Ministry, quoted by the official SANA news agency, said the delay in responding was due to an “institutional vacuum.”
The Observatory said al-Sharaa’s forces were fighting alongside Bedouin militias against the Druze. Footage purportedly from the area shows armed Druze men capturing and beating members of al-Sharaa’s forces. Druze spiritual leader Sheikh Hikmat al-Hijri, a vocal opponent of the regime, issued a statement Monday morning calling for “urgent protection from the international community” and rejecting the entry of Syrian security forces into the region.
The current flare-up comes amid reports of warming ties between Israel and al-Sharaa’s regime, which enjoys significant backing from the White House. Two days ago, reports from Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, indicated that Israeli and Syrian officials had met to discuss a possible renewed implementation of the 1974 disengagement agreement.
According to Syrian reports, the current violence began when a Druze youth was stopped, robbed, and left wounded by armed men on the road from As-Suwayda to Damascus. In retaliation, Druze residents captured individuals from Bedouin tribes, leading to full-scale clashes.
Fighting between the sides was concentrated in the Makwas neighborhood east of As-Suwayda, a predominantly Bedouin area. Simultaneously, Bedouin gunmen launched attacks on Druze villages on the western and northern outskirts of the city.
Eyewitnesses reported explosions in several neighborhoods of As-Suwayda and at least one house on fire. Local leaders were reportedly mediating to calm tensions and negotiate the release of hostages held by both sides.
Mustafa al-Baqour, the governor of As-Suwayda—who remains in office despite reports of his resignation in May after an armed assault on his office—urged residents “to exercise restraint and respond to national calls for reform.”
This is the most serious confrontation since April and May, when unrest was sparked by a fake audio recording attributed to a Druze sheikh, allegedly containing insults against the Prophet Muhammad. That incident left dozens dead in clashes between al-Sharaa’s forces and Druze fighters. During that round of violence, Israel also intervened directly, pledging to ensure the safety of the Druze community and striking near the presidential palace in Damascus.

This is a holy war against those who seek our destruction
The mayor of Daliyat al-Karmel explains why the videos from Syria triggered a furious response: “The fall of Assad marked a new era of Druze identity” • “A turning point for the Druze across the Middle East – a real battle for the community’s survival”Rafik Halabi, mayor of Daliyat al-Karmel. The images and videos sent from Sweida to Druze in Israel left no doubt: an outpouring of rage and solidarity was inevitable, and would be difficult to contain. A video showing a member of the Islamic State (ISIS), affiliated with the Al-Sharaa family, kicking a religious turban – a sacred symbol for the Druze – and trampling it, or another showing a terrorist shaving the beard of a well-known Druze religious leader, were enough to spur thousands of young Druze from the Galilee and the Carmel to rattle the border fence and cross deep into Syrian territory to stand by their brethren.
This act touched on one of the three core tenets of the Druze faith: belief in God, protect your brother, and guard your tongue. It was, in essence, the ignition of a kind of holy war by the Druze against those who seek to wipe them out.

For years, Druze in Syria suffered under the Assad regime, which forced them to conceal their religious identity. Many in the community were married off to Alawites or Sunnis. Paradoxically, Assad’s downfall signaled a new chapter in reaffirming Druze identity.
The recent events delivered a resounding slap in the face to anyone who believed that Al-Sharaa in a suit and tie would be any different from Al-Sharaa with a beard and jihadist ideology. The footage I watched evoked Nazi-era hallmarks of humiliation and suppression – only this time, it was the Druze, not Jews, facing such cruelty in full view of the world.

The Israeli public must not be misled. Although this may look like frustration over Israel’s sluggish and indifferent conduct in Syria, it is not in any way a breach of the Druze community’s unwavering loyalty to the State of Israel. There is, however, frustration over a government that limited itself to statements. The recent Druze uprising served as a stark reminder to the Israeli government that this is a proud community that will not relent until peace and dignity are restored to the Druze in Syria.
Personally, I opposed the drastic move by young Druze to cross the border. Sadly, it could have led to disaster – kidnapping or murder. As much as I understand the sincere motives rooted in deep solidarity with their Syrian kin, the act harmed the cause by diverting attention from the jihadist campaign of annihilation against the Druze to the act of crossing the border itself
This day will be remembered as a turning point for the Druze in the Middle East. This is not about land disputes or the Nation-State Law, but a genuine struggle for the survival of a community that has endured years of persecution.

The Druze are creating a Sunni-free zone in Southern Syria
Avi Abelow-tweet-17July2025-The Druze are creating a Sunni-free zone in Southern Syria
A 180-Degree Turn for the Druze: Not by Miracles, But Through the Jewish State of Israel!!!
The Druze are waving flags with the Jewish Star of David and embracing our holy IDF soldiers in Southern Syria.
But that’s not the transformation…
As of right now, history is unfolding in southern Syria. The Jewish state of Israel jumped in to attack the Sunni Syrian forces of Jolani in the Sweida region, and saved the Druze community from ethnic cleansing. And now, , instead of being massacred, the Druze have drawn a hard red line.
They’ve issued a final ultimatum to the Sunni Bedouin population in the area: leave by tonight.
This is not about revenge. This is about survival.
The world remained silent while their people were targeted by jihadist forces for extinction. Now, they are doing what any people would do when the world abandons them, they’re taking matters into their own hands to protect their families, their homes, their future.
Let’s be crystal clear: this is how you deal with a genocidal enemy who openly seeks your destruction. No apologies. No illusions. No wishful thinking that appeasement or negotiations will work.
The Druze are creating a Sunni-free zone in Southern Syria, not out of hate, but because reality has proven that coexistence is impossible when Sunni Muslim neighbors complicit to killing you.
The Druze didn’t hold protests or write op-eds begging for empathy. They acted.
There’s no room left for illusions about coexistence with those who educate their children to hate and murder you, and cheer your destruction. It’s ugly, it’s tragic, but it’s real. And reality doesn’t care about the West’s lectures.
The Druze have no Iron Dome. They have no international alliances. What they do have is clarity, and the Jewish state of Israel. And they understand something Israel’s leadership must finally internalize: if you don’t secure your land and remove an enemy population intent on killing you, you can not protect your people.
Israel must wake up. The world doesn’t care when Jews are butchered. The world didn’t care on October 7th, and it won’t care tomorrow.
If we want to live, we need to act like we want to live. The Druze are showing the world what survival looks like. Israel must do the same, clear Gaza, Judea, Samaria of the enemy population, clear the threats, and make it indisputably Jewish and secure. Anyone who wants to live peacefully with us will be allowed to, but those who educate their children to hate and kill us, no.
Not because we hate anyone, but because we refuse to let our children be slaughtered while we wait for Western approval that will never come. Enough weakness. It’s time to secure our future, without apology.
Let’s stop pretending we live in a moral world. The international community stood by while the Druze were targeted, and they want us to stop to allow Hamas and the Palestinian Authority to commit more Oct. 7ths.
Stopping a genocidal population from killing your citizens is the moral thing to do

22July2025-Druze update
Marc Zell-tweet-22July2025-Druze update
I met today with a senior Israeli Druze leader and former IDF commander who is well informed about the current situation in Suweida — the principal Druze area in southern Syria. He reports:
1. There are about 800,000 Druze living in southern Syria.
2. Highway 110 which connects Suweida and its environs has been cut off by Syrian security forces preventing needed humanitarian aid from reaching the Druze communities.
3. The highway leading from Israeli controlled territory in Syrian Golan to the Druze communities is under the control of Syrian security forces who are preventing essential supplies from reaching the Druze communities.
4. The main bakery for the Druze communities in Umm el-Zeitun has been captured by Syrian security forces who are attempting to starve the Druze of Suweida and environs to death after murdering well over 1000 Druze civilians.
5. The Druze hospitals in Suweida were attacked by Syrian security forces who murdered the entire medical staff and all patients. Their bodies are still lying in the hospital. Attempts to remove the bodies and restore operations of the hospital have been hampered by Syrian snipers who are still in place.
6. Some 35 Druze villages on the ridge from Damascus to Suweida have been occupied by Syrian security forces who are said to be systematically destroying the Druze inhabitants despite the so-called ceasefire.
7. The Trump Administration is said to be preventing the IDF from taking action to clear the highways leading to the Druze communities in the Suweida province. Without IDF intervention or an agreement providing for the withdrawal of Syrian security forces from the key access points, the 1000-year old Druze communities will be utterly destroyed.
8. There is an 800-man US military force not far from Suweida which, if redeployed, would enable medical facilities and essential humanitarian aid to reached the beleaguered Druze population.
9. For various reasons access to the Druze communities through Jordan is not feasible.
10. The failure to remove Syrian security forces from southern Syria constitutes a critical military threat to Israel (and Jordan)
11. If President Trump does not green lights the IDF to clear southern Syria of hostile Syrian security forces (which include some 30,000 non-Arab mujihadeen from Afghanistan and Iraq) or fails to allow the US forces already in Syria to provide medical assistance and humanitarian to the Druze communities, the Syrian security forces and their allied militias will wipe out the Syrian Druze in their entirety.
Republicans Overseas Israel together with the Jewish and non-Jewish citizens of Israel call upon President Trump and his Administration to let Israel protect the amazing Druze of Syria and the other minorities in southern Syria and prevent their annihilation by Syrian security forces. Please, President Trump, @POTUS don’t turn a blind eye to the destruction of our Druze brothers and sisters. Please don’t let October 7th happen again — this time in Syria.
